The wife came through and bought me the Bettinardi BB53 Putter for Christmas:

We are supposed to have a few days in the mid to upper 50s so hopefully I can get a round in this week and try out the new flatstick. Anyone else transitioned to a belly putter?

Not a big deal, but Golf Warehouse had a buy two get three dozen Penta's, but what swung me was that I could pick the number. So, chose #18 for my HS junior daughter's water polo number......maybe they'll go in the hole better than the ProV's....

No, never used a belly putter....but if you concede putts 'in the leather' you'll have a great advantage! Good luck with it.

Lucky enough to get a 60 degree day down here so I decided to hit the course and try out the new putter. After five holes I was 1 under. I was draining everything from 10 ft and in. My lag putting was solid too. By hole 4 the guys that were paired with me and my buddy were talking about buying belly putters too. Doubled the 9th to finish with a 39, tied for my second best 9 holes this year. The back nine was a completely different story. I started hitting toe hook after toe hook, which then turned into snap hooks. All in all though a pretty good day on the course. The decision to buy the putter has proven wise thus far.

Any day on the course, no matter how tough the round is, beats a day in the office.

Got a nice gift card to Par Golf in Dublin... always have some good deals and know the guy who runs the place so we'll see what they've got up there... Probably pick up a couple of boxes of balls and maybe a shirt or two

Any idea why they left the "house" on sawmill and moved into that strip mall? I always thought of their house as their trademark, and it gave the shop a lot of charm.

I'm guessing whoever bought it (and tore it down) made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

I got a Bushnell V2 for Christmas. I can't wait to get out and use it.

Matt how long is your belly putter?

I have been wanting to tinker around with one for awhile. My putting is atrocious, I can go out and shoot 75-80, with 32-36 putts.

Mine is 44 in. There are plenty of online fitting guides. I am sure GolfWRX has one. You are in Chicago, right? I love my Bettinardi putter and I believe there is a Bettinardi facility in Tinley Park where you can get fitted.

If this is an indication of how long its been since I've been up that way, I didn't even know they'd done that. Probably able to store more inventory and stuff like that. Over in Mill Run they had the same set up and eventually moved out but they always seemed like they had a LOT more stuff in stock over there.

Trying to put together this year's golf trip with some service buddies. Looks like we are only going to be able to do a three day weekend in early March. We are hoping for a place that is in close proximity to other entertainment, e.g. casino. Also need a place that is going to be warm and we don't want to drop $100 per round. Any ideas?
