For the last 12+ years I've used the same driver/woods/irons and they're offset heads. Yesterday I played a round and my dad subbed my driver/woods with a Callaway Big Bertha set, oh man, that was bad. I couldn't hit the driver to save my life. Awful slice and no elevation on my drives whatsoever. Got some roll on my drives, but it was impossible to know where it would end up. Oddly, I hit the 3 wood a few times and hit it pretty well, straight with decent distance and elevation. It's probably partly in my head, but it will take some time before I decide if I want to switch from the offset drivers. I've grown to hit them really well and it was almost depressing how bad I was from the tee box with the Big Bertha.

In related news, I have a hookup and got a tee time for tomorrow morning at the World Golf Village. I'm pretty excited, it will be by far the best course I've played. I hope to play the King & Bear course (Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer collab), but not sure which course I'll play. They also have the Slammer & Squire (Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen collab). I'll post tomorrow with my impressions.

Weather was not on my side today. It has been raining all morning and will continue to throughout the day. Looks like I'll push that round back to Thursday morning.

Absolutely perfect golfing weather over the last week. I love this time of year. I am finally happy with what is in my bag and don't anticipate making any changes in the near future. I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone was gaming.

I am currently gaming the following:

- Taylormade Burner Tour 4-PW w/ Project X 6.0 Shafts
- Taylormade Burner Tour Hybrid 19* Matrix Ozik
- Taylormade Burner Superfast 3 wood 15*
- Callaway FTiz Tour Driver 9.5* Matrix Ozik Xcon-6
- Callaway X- Forged Wedges 52*, 54*(bent to 55*) and 58*
- Odyssey XG-7 Center-shafted putter w/ a goofy Superstroke grip :tongue2:
- Sometimes I will swap out a wedge for a Taylormade Burner Hybrid 16*

I also have a set of Taylormade RAC MB TP irons, but I don't play enough anymore to be consistent with these irons. Yes, I am what many call a club whore . Most of my stuff is second hand. I have a friend that I grew up with that plays on the Nationwide Tour so I get his hand-me-downs.

What is everyone else gaming?

How do you like the Scratch wedges? I have talked with Ari about customizing some forged wedges for some military buddies coming back from Afghanistan, but haven't pulled the trigger. Do you have the forged or milled?

Played Conway Farms up in Lake Forest today for an outing.

http://www.conwayfarmsgolfclub.org/

Course is pretty solid and very tough. Slope is 149 with a rating of 75.8 from the tips. We played the second tees, and with the wind today it was all I could handle, shooting 85. My caddie was telling me that they are trying to get the BMW Championship for 2013. They are hosting the USGA Mid-Am next year. Luke Donald is also a member.

If you have any connections or way of playing this course, I urge you to seize the opportunity. Its a great track.

Arrowhead, in the Garden of the Gods area. Fabulous views.

Just booked a tee time for Arrowhead for Thursday. Looks spectacular, should be fun as long as I can avoid the bears.

I am in Tennesse and have connections to several courses in the area. However, a round in the Columbus area is probably the best way to go. I would have no problem driving. Does anyone have connections in Columbus? Who else would be interested in playing?
