Shot an 82 today at Avalon today. Tripled 17, a driveable par 4 over water. Recovered on 18 with a par. About what I expected considering the amount of golf I have played. It was nice just to get away and not think about the bar exam for 4 hours.

Played at The Lakes for three days in the member/guest this past weekend...and we teamed up at my member/guest at Hickory Hills the weekend before that. So I'm golfed out for at least a few days. We played pretty terribly and didn't even come close to winning our flight in either event but we did okay on the wagers and had more fun than anyone else out there. Scared to see what my bill is going to look like this month...

Came close to shooting my 1st sub par/par round yesterday in my league. (only on 9) I was -1 going into the 8th hole 2 birdies and 1 bogey rest par. and fucking duck hooked my drive right into the woods. I was so pissed!!!! made bogey then par 3 to finsh out, hit 2 inches behind the ball and came up 25 yards short. bogied it for +1. 5 week handicap in my league @ 80% is a 2 now.

Anyone purchase an R-11? It's between that and the Razr, one is a 'fixed' draw, and the other (R-11) can be adjusted.....I'd like the option to increase or decrease loft, and buy one driver that can be adjusted to a draw (I'm a Nicklaus fader), or straight, as my swing dictates....any thoughts? I play in a cheap foursome, and no one has purchased one.

Thanks in advance,

worst round of the year today...and it came during the first round of the club championship

i hit 6/9 greens on the back nine and still shot a [censored]ing 50!!! I carded a 9 on both 12 and 16. Put one OB right and then water left off the tee on 13. Then put two in the water from the tee on 16. On 13,14,15--I hit the GIR however I 3-putted each. Then went par-par on 17 and 18.

They had the greens rolling at about an 10-11 stimp reading. [censored]ing slick.

Before spending that kind of money on a driver, I'd want to be fitted somewhere that can monitor launch angle, spin, carry distance, etc.

Any Dick's Sporting Good's should have this.

I got on their launch monitor a few weeks back just trying an R-11.
Been playing a 10 year old Taylormade 300Ti.

Looks like a 5 wood compared to today's drivers.

I got on the machine to find out what shaft stiffness I'd need should I ever get one. Turned out I'd need to special order their X-shaft should I ever get one.

300 = best driver ever

i still have a couple 7.5 tp 300s with x ust shafts. i've also snapped a couple 320s (which i would hit the farthest) and caved the face of a 360. nothing felt better from the sweet spot than the 300s.

Bought it off the rack used for $100 at Golfsmith at the time.

Totally agree with the sound it makes.

People I play with always comment on how good it sounds when I catch it clean.

I will be totally honest with you, the reason I've been so hesitant in getting a new driver is the lack of sound the drivers make when you catch them clean. I can't tell the difference between a clean whack and a toed one.

Some of the drivers I hear people playing with sound like they're hitting with a shovel.
