TE J.T. Moore (Official Thread)

Dispatch
Early commitment

Ohio State has the first commitment of its 2010 recruiting class, defensive end J.T. Moore of Boardman, Ohio.
Moore, 6 feet 3, 230 pounds, said he committed with a phone call to Tressel just before the Buckeyes left for Los Angeles.
"I always said I wanted to be a Buckeye, no matter what sport it was, so I am very excited," Moore said.

Somewhere-not the ESPN site-I saw a young lady from Boardman named Dyarra(or something like that-sorry about spelling)Moore, a 6'2 center from the 10' class listed as a women's bb commit-she was the #14 C in the nation I believe. Is she a twin/sister/cousin/no relation to JT? Just curious.

He has good range, good size, strong, and above average athleticism. Solid 3 star type imo. This is a player where I will just honestly have to say I don't see what got him such an early offer, but the staff did. I'll just ask grad...does it seem like Boardman plays a conservative defense or does Moore just not fire off the ball? It seems he just fights position and keeps contain, or stays home.

Very strong and disruptive in the trenches. Collapses the line at times. I think about how Heyward had a strong presence at DE in '07 despite not being a polished pass rusher because he was able to cut off the running lanes. I think Moore also bring that to the table.
