look... i did not remember Ben saying, 'before you were born.' actually, i still don't but since several people have confirmed your post, then i'm rather inclined to believe you, and them... now, from my perspective, it was an erroneous quote. hence, my arguement. i am sorry that you saw it as some kind of personal attack, because it was not personal at all... i was merely pointing out, mistakenly i will admit, what i thought was wrong... get it? i was wrong, i'm the asshole...

sorry...

Well, there must be some people out there who like ROTS. Here are its box office numbers through Monday:

<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=5 bgColor=#ffffff border=0><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle bgColor=#ffff99>10</TD><TD bgColor=#ffff99>Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith</TD><TD bgColor=#ffff99>Fox</TD><TD align=right bgColor=#ffff99>$367,113,992</TD><TD align=middle bgColor=#ffff99>2005</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

10th largest grossing movie of all time in the United States. It will easily take over the 7th spot all time as it only needs $10 million to do so. The big question is whether it will reach $400 million and overtake Spiderman at $403.7 million for the number 6 spot. If it does, it will join Phantom Menance and A New Hope as the three Star Wars movies to top $400 million mark giving the franchise 3 of the top 6 movies of all time.

http://theweek.com/article/index/207654/does-anyone-need-star-wars-in-3d
The Star Wars series hasn't even hit Blu-ray yet, but The Hollywood Reporter reports sources are saying George Lucas definitely intends to refill his money pit in 2012 by bringing out the movies, one each year, in 3D. Unfortunately that means even if you're optimistically expecting a well done 3D conversion process Episode IV is at least five years away since the plan is to release the movies in numerical order. According to the sources, even after demoing converted 3D footage of the movies in the past, Lucas was moved to greenlight the process after experiencing Avatar and realizing that by the time the movies hit theaters, and eventually homes, there will be more than enough capable screens to watch them on. Of course, all could be forgiven if this meant there were enough petty cash floating around to convince Lucas it's time to restore and rerelease the original editions on Blu-ray, but we're not holding our breath.

I wonder if he can rework Episode I to get rid of JarJar and rewrite all three crap scripts? It will be interesting to see what the buzz is for the quality of the 3D. I just don't think I can make myself pay $10-15 to see movies I've seen a million times.

This is probably doubtful. Hell, he went back and wrote Jarjar into the ending for Return of the Jedi, he's cheering on the top of some building. Seriously, did not need to hear that annoying voice yelling "Weesa free!" They also didn't need to digitally switch the Anakin ghosts at the end either, blasphemy!

George Lucas Plans to Resuscitate Dead Movie Stars

According to Mel Smith—friend of George Lucas and director of Radioland Murders—the creator of Star Wars is "buying up the film rights to dead actors." He says that Lucas plans to resuscitate them in future movies using 3D technolog

...

Of course, this is the British tabloid The Sun but, knowing the amazing digital 3D actor work in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Tron Legacy, Mel Smith's revelations don't surprise me at all. In fact, the possibility of doing this has been rumored in Hollywood for a while, but, if true, this seems the first actual news of someone buying "film rights" to dead movie stars.
