If there are any other further questions regarding my knowledge of the quotes in these movies, let me just say this:

"The odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3,720 to 1."

And you can look that number up ..
Sloopy, I missed your point. Are you saying I am wrong?

come on now! you are dead serious in your opinions of the New Trilogy... how can i NOT read into it?

aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!! *runs around the room*
first off, he wasn't in Degobah for a week... secondly, Yoda TOLD HIM NOT TO GO... and third, when viewed IN NUMERICAL ORDER (not chronoligical), could this not be construed as an inconsistancy in 'Empire'?
not that i would ever defend lucas... but the actual ability to use the force being as it is a mental ability could be a light switch type of thing. the ability is always there, it is simple a matter of realizing it. in which case 10 min worth of training would be enough to allow you to actually "use the force". it could be that the umpteen years worth of training have less to do with "learning to use the force" but rather deciding who should be taught to do so and who should not and the passing on of the proper mindset with which to use said force. the power to kill with ones mind isn't nearly as dangerous as the power to kill without conscence.

which could be why anikan was dubbed "too old" at age 5 but luke is good to go at age 59 (i do not know/nor care hold old he was). with luke the rules change slightly because the jedi are gone and the empire rules the galaxy so what does it matter if luke ends up being a nutjob axe murderer? its not like the galaxy will be any worse off.

Not at all. You're 100% dead-on balls accurate. I wrote that in case LV (or anyone else) cares to question my knowledge of the quotes in the movies.

Thanks Brutus. I hate those a-holes that feel the urge to belittle you, and say you are wrong, then it turns out you were right. Of course they never acknowledge that.
sheesh... don't click on a thread for a couple days, and suddenly you're an a-hole who won't aknowlege that someone else was right... i wasn't trying to belittle anyone...

Sloopy said something about the Millenium Falcon in III... i saw it immediately the first time i watched it... since then, i've seen the movie twice, but missed it...

IIRC, it appears kind of to the lower right of the screen... maybe that's why i caught it the first time- i was sitting in the lower right of the theater...

just saw it tonight............it was good.. a little over rated. I could tell they wanted to preserve alot of the features of the original (ex. cheesy transition effects that look look like something off a powerpoint a high schooler would do), but ended up holding the movie back. Also, there was some iffy acting and it looked like a low-budget film (exageration) in the beggining, but picked up. i guess it just didnt "wow" me or really leave me in awe. it ended up decent in the end though.

I tried not to go in ready to compare it to the trilogy.......if you do that, I honestly think you will not like any of these 3. By themselves though, I thought all 3 were decent, the last one being the best. Cheesy acting, yes........some majorly cool parts left out, yes.

OT: BMax, are you looking forward to checking out the Fantastic Four movie? Alba stars as the Invisible Girl, errrrr, Invisible "Woman," per Political Correctness.

The FF was one of my favorite comics as a kid, but this movie looks really cheesy: Dr. Doom & the Thing look really, really fake. Alba does look incredible in a tight blue jumpsuit.

I am looking forward to it, JUST because Alba is in it :)

You are right, the movie just does not look very impressive to me. I am honestly looking more forward to X3 than anything, plus Hugh Jackman just signed a deal to do a couple Wolverine movies seperate from the X-men series.

LV, you may want to go back, and see what you wrote.
If you said I was wrong, that is one thing. However, you basically attacked me. That is what ticked me off

i said that the quote was wrong, and without a proper quote, the arguement is useless, which is 100% true... unfortunately, it was MY arguement that was useless...

look... i did not remember Ben saying, 'before you were born.' actually, i still don't but since several people have confirmed your post, then i'm rather inclined to believe you, and them... now, from my perspective, it was an erroneous quote. hence, my arguement. i am sorry that you saw it as some kind of personal attack, because it was not personal at all... i was merely pointing out, mistakenly i will admit, what i thought was wrong... get it? i was wrong, i'm the asshole...

sorry...
