What if the Admins sent all members a PM asking for a few bucks. Add a disclainer that If that particular member has already sent money to please disregard the PM as it was sent to all members.
I'm assuming that the Admins can send a PM to every member with one click.

We have about 4000 members yet these threads (combined) have only had 2400 views. At least half of the members have not even taken the time to find out what this spring campaign is all about.
I say stick this information in front of their noses.

3 yards and a few others have have done a great job in saying why we should all give a few bucks. Put these reasons in the PM.
If they don't like it, Fuckem.

Bout time you got your lazy self back from the beach...

...LWB sent the intel to me but all I could do was make the update graphic :( I would have given out medals, but I'm just a lowly graphic mod :sad:

Anyone handling cash-in-hand collection @ Spring game?

That's when you'll see mine -- along with the moths from the wallet. :biggrin:

Fact is I've got property transactions to conclude -- so just now (today) isn't good at all. By time of Spring game I should be in a much better situation (and no longer cursing daft realtors and even sillier regulations in the Burg of Pitts -- which region is fast becoming a haven only to tax collectors, communist leaning borough chiefs and oh yes tibor).

Sending the mass PM is an A+ idea BTW, got my attention with the one on the shirts.

I am only one vote CB, but I would assume the others would agree a mass-pm is something we need to run by Clarity...he may want certain wording, may want to write it himself, or he may not want it at all.

I'll PM this to Jo and Clarity to get the official word.

Mass PM sounds good, but I'd check with Clarity as grad suggests. Don't forget there is also an announcement up about the donation drive in addition to the multiple threads. I guess I'm just leery of going overboard.

Mass PM is also a very processor intensive task. Just what we need with an over worked server huh? Hopefully (if we get the go ahead) the mass PM can go out late at night.

I see nothing wrong with sending a mass PM out if it won't blow the server up. At the same time though, I was wondering, would it be possible to filter out those who have already donated so that there isn't a duplication of effort? I mean there isn't any point to semding the PM out to those who have already ponied up is there? Just a thought.
