SG Daequan Cook (Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona - Israel)

As for Gibson I do believe he had already played 2 seasons of college basketball, and the reason for the drop in his stock was the fact that he only worked out for the Cavs and they told him that they would draft him, and he knew it was a good situation for him...IMO if he would of went to pre draft camps and tried out for more teams he would of been arond 18-23 in the first round when guys like Rando, Williams, and Farmar went off the board...

You are correct regarding the number of years Gibson played at UT. I should have known better than done more research with you around.:)

Five who got it right and five who got it wrong article

Daequan Cook: An explosive athlete, Cook has the physical tools to be an NBA All-Star someday. But he's far from being ready to make the leap. The small forward averaged 9.8 points a game last season and was a non-factor down the stretch, averaging just 4.8 ppg in the NCAA Tournament. That lack of production will create plenty of uncertainty come draft time. Cook would be much better served coming back for his sophomore season (he hasn't signed with an agent yet). With Greg Oden and Conley gone, Cook could emerge as the focal point of the Buckeyes offense and make himself a lock for the lottery in 2008.

Maybe someone should show him this article, and get him to realize what could be...

The scary thing is that he and Ohio State would win big if he came back. He would easily lead the team in scoring with the void left by the departure of Lewis, Conley and Oden.

the suns have 3 first rounders?

It's crazy they keep trading out of drafting a player and moving around their salary cap. They could have easily had Luol Deng on their team too... but traded that pick so they could stay in the salary cap. I wouldn't be shocked to see them move atleast 2 of those picks. They re-signed Barbosa and Diaw last year.. they may just add some inside help. Also on the Daquene Cook part... DAMN! first round... who did he sleep with from nbadraft.net???

Potential, potential, potential, DCook has a nice stroke, a pretty good midrange game and the athleticism to become a good defender as well. I would like to see him in S&G again next year (I also think in the long run it would earn him more money coming back), but either way I hope he is succesful in whatever he does.

The Cavs would be glad to have one of those picks...

Also they have had him in the first round all year...Starting him at about 12 and he has been on the decline ever since...

Cook's NBA odyssey set to begin

COLUMBUS ? Have basketball. Will travel.

That will be Daequan Cook's mantra in June. The Ohio State freshman and NBA draft early entrant is scheduled to work out for half the league's franchises in a three-week period.

Cook, still attending school, said he will meet the NCAA's required number of credits for freshman athletes and finish the term with a 2.90 grade-point average.

That pick that Phoenix has at number four is Atlanta's pick from the Joe Johnson trade, but it is top-3 protected. So if Atlanta ends up in the top three in the lottery, they keep the pick. If the Hawks somehow get the number one overall, they could end up with both Oden and Conley if that mock draft actually held up.

That's very good news.

I'm sorry, this might be a stupid question but is that good news because it means he might come back still, or good news just because it means our APR score wont take a hit?
