BayBuck is right. NCAA has no subpoena power. Once one is no longer an NCAA athlete, they have zero leverage over you, unless there is a criminal offense that they can turn over to the relevant authorities. Reggie Bush was perfectly able to say, "eff off" when they came asking him for a deposition.

Joe Schad is reporting that Oregon State coach Mike Riley would be the clear leader to replace Carroll.

Riley was the OC for John Robinson in the 90s at USC, so there's a connection there. You also have to think that Riley knows that he's taken Oregon State about as far as they can go.
