I think we're seeing the guys who have "no heart" now have an excuse because being a pussy is now called, "looking out for my health." Cash-in. Cash-out.

We can't look past how many of these guys want to take the money and run.

Is this guy serious? Or a better question (for me): Why do I bother reading comments?

.... just thinking out loud... if the Harbau stays and there is legit chance to get to the playoffs/superbowl does this same offseason happen for the 9ers?
Harbrau's goose was cooked. There was no way he was staying. You could tell all last season that the players were no longer buying what he was selling. I think part of it was his personality grating on the team, and part of it was this clown-show front office undermining him at every opportunity. But, it was never happening.

The question one must ask is....would one work for an employer that pays you hefty sums of money, but lies to you about your health and heath related subjects?

Would one work for an employer that has made its money off the back and hard work of men who, in their older age, are tossed to the side as if they were complete strangers?

Anyone who gives these guys grief for keaving football on their own terms is at best an asshole.

To answer your last question, Alex-my grandfathers both dug coal. Lots of men on my father's side worked in the steel industry and mined at a cement plant-Thump, you know the one. My dad went to more funerals during my youth than I can recall. I'll answer yes.

It's pretty clear that this franchise looks to be heading into a significant rebuild now. One thing that MUST be settled this season is whether or not Kap is the future at QB. That has to be figured out this year before really moving forward. He seems to be really dedicating himself to improving himself as a passer this year. So that's a plus, but they need to do something about the sieve of an OL, or it could all be totally pointless. Bringing in Torrey Smith injects a much needed deep threat to the WR corp. I can't imagine Boldin has much left in the tank. A lot of the core of this teams success the past few years is now gone, this will be the year for some young guys to step into bigger roles.

Kap isn't the future at anything. I didn't see it before and still don't. They are a mess if they don't unload him. The good news is that he's probfbly overvalued so they should be able to get something for him.

Kap was a fluke. He was the ultimate player coming in at the right time as the Pistol was a novelty that defenses hadn't figured out, and he was the guy who made it run at Nevada under the guy who created it. Throw in his unstable personality, and I'll bet he bounces around the league for a few years before disappearing.

Oh and all the credit in the world to Borland, and fuck those internet pussies condemning him. It's his body and brain, and he's not there to serve your macho fantasies while you sit in a hideous fake leather, Made-In-China chair with built-in cup holders in the arm holding a Keystone Light in one hand and Giant bag of pork rinds in the other.

Boone doesn't come off real well in his comments about Harbaugh imo. Complaining about Harbaugh "pushing them too far" b/c "they already got over the mountain."

What was the mountain? Almost winning? I'm also pretty sure Harbaugh isn't the only football coach who pushes his players hard.

Anyway, everyone really needs to move on from the Harbaugh era. He's gone. It's time to move on.

Agreed on all counts. Especially poor form from Boone coming off of a steaming turd of a season for him...

It's looking like Baalke has fallen in love with Arik Armstead and they will likely take him at 15. Ugh.

On a more positive note, there have been videos posted of Kap in the voluntary workouts, and it looks like he has improved significantly mechanically as a thrower after working with Kurt Werner this offseason. His delivery looks much more compact, release is much quicker, and he got rid of that exaggerated wind up. We'll see how that translates to the field when DEs are barrelling down on him, but at least he's working on some of his issues.
