I know we have a couple 49ers fans on here and a couple others who root for them when the Browns aren't playing..

Good news for us - the Niners are auditioning kickers. Akers was awesome last year and terrible this year.

Harbaugh put it best when asked about a possible change at kicker:

"We'll evaluate that. It's his job to make the kicks."

If they go into the playoffs with Akers, it WILL cost them. He is directly responsible for at least one loss and the tie to STL. Dude is awful.

He was not going to re-sign with the ratbirds so it might make sense. I would not be surprised to see the 49ers take a run at signing Phil Dawson and Cribbs. They released Akers and supposedly have talked to Cribbs agent.

They have so many draft picks it is unbelievable.

boldin still has a year left on his contract at about $6 million. he wouldn't take a pay cut for baltimore. so, SF paid a 6th rounder for a one year rental of a good wr. good move for them. this now allows baltimore to re-sign ellerbe now that they've freed up enough cap.

SF is going to have to make some roster cuts before they start worrying about signing anyone else.

Like this move. He's very difficult to handle in the red zone and the 9ers red zone offense last year was very difficult to watch.

They still have Jenkins sitting on the bench just learning the offense and conditioning. So perhaps you'll see him as more of the deep threat this year.

I've heard that Reed and/or Revis might end up in SF too. I highly doubt Revis does, but Ed Reed wouldn't surprise me at all. I think a healthy Ed Reed could make that defense an all-time great defense.

Can you fucking imagine that? Good time to be a Niners fan. Those years of shit were worth what is currently happening and being built. The core is young, too.

Also, a bigger wideout like Bolden will be a huge plus in their run game. Their pistol jet package would really benefit.

So the top 3 leading receivers from the playoffs are now all in San Francisco. Boldin lead all of them, and if I'm not mistaken had a ridiculous 19 catches for first downs in the playoffs. Even Ditka could have made that trade without fucking it up.
