San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

You traitor:) I mean is there anything else that the 49ers need to make them a better team.
Hey! I was actually a 49ers fan growing up during the Montana/Rice/Craig years, and have always followed them (at least) peripherally since. The DeBartolo-Y'town connection hooked me. Plus, I was a total front-runner as a seven year old. Clowns will always be my first team, but I've pretty much given up on them ever doing anything of note.

As to your question...help in the secondary...they have 10 draft choices, so I'm sure most issues will be addressed one way or another.

Secondary is the weak point, but it's only the weak point because everything else is awesome. They have 15 draft picks, and they're good at drafting. This team should be very good for a very long time.

Justin Smith's age concerns me. They're a different team without him. He makes Aldon Smith look a lot better than he actually is.

49ers just signed Nnamdi Asomugha really cheap. No guaranteed money, one year contract worth $1.35 million. They're trying to field a team that has more talent than a Pro Bowl team.

Elaborating on the bolded... apparently he didn't want any guaranteed money. What the fuck?

I know he's putting pressure on himself to perform, which is awesome, but that's unheard of.

I've heard he was misused in Philly. I think he'll be an awesome addition.

I agree with numbers.
Nmandi is from California, played at Cal, lived in Oakland and now would do anything to get back out west.
He's going to be comfortable and relaxed playing out west.
