He fits RichRod's spread system, of smaller scat-backs that can make plays in the open field. But I still think he's a bunch of youtube hype!

All youtube hype? Hardly!

Don't mean to offend anyone(calm down), but this kid has been really hyped because of youtube. That site seems to be making a lot of kids stars, before they've really proved anything on the field. I'm only giving my opinion on the kid, and in MY opinion, he's a lot of youtube hype. The jumping over defenders thing is cute, but how many times do you really think he's gonna do that in a Division 1 football game? This isn't High school anymore, the guys are bigger, smarter and faster. I still think that the jury's still out on Noel Devine, I loved watching both of these kids on youtube as well, don't get me wrong but it's a very different level of competition that they're facing. Guys all over the Big10 are salivating at getting to unload on Mr. McGuffie. Let's not forget, Beenie Wells is balling now, but he had a little learning curve when he got to Columbus, and realized that he was no longer the biggest and fastest guy on the field.

I don't think the jury is still out on Devine. He has yet to be a feature back but has already shown he has amazing game changing ability. Sam McGuffie got hype because he made amazing plays, youtube can't fabricate that. Yeah maybe he's small, yeah it's high school, but anyone watching these films should understand that. His speed has been timed and his elusiveness is evident. See Reggie Bush's high school highlights (jaw dropping), I'm sure guys were salivating to get a hand on him, but it didn't happen all that much did it.

Anyone else find it puzzling the kid didn't wear gloves. Even in the rain.

What are you talking about? Beans came out from the start trucking defenders...his curve was holding on to the ball, not adjusting to taking hits, and as for Mcguffie, he did have 100+ yards against Notre Dame who have a team full of top recruits, im not saying he's going to be a Heisman winner, but I can seeing him being a consistant 1000 yard rusher over the next couple of years
