Sam "L" McGuffie (Olympic Bobsled Team)

Can I get a gif of McGuffie getting obliterated on the kickoff for my sig?

Greenies for the provider.

c'mon, guys. this is a kid, at some point during his recruitment, had expressed a keen interest in playing for the GOOD guys. Fortunately, our coaches made an honest evaluation and decided not to offer this kid based upon his talent, or slightly lack there of. For some reason I've always liked McGuffie. I admire his toughness and heart he has displayed this season eventhough he DOES play for the state up north as a true freshman. Just try to put yourself in his place...playing behind that swiss cheese of line, that D-1AA worthy of a quarterback, and for that weasel of a coach, he was in a REALLY bad situation all and all. The kind of pounding he took is unreal! I actually felt real bad for the kid when he got "obliterated" in THE Game.

At any rate, I just wish that everyone can cut this kid some slack.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with what he asked for. It's not like Sam ended up seriously injured on the play. It was a great hit. I'd like a .gif of that too.

i know.........oh, well....i've tried. sorry, kid.

Just to clarify...

I thought that it was widely believed that he wanted an OSU offer for a "trophy", not because he really wanted to come here.

He chose the dark side. I wish no inury upon the kid, but I wouldn't mind seeing him cry on the sideline after another hit just like that one next year.

I don't think anyone wants a kid to have a career ending injury in THE GAME. I think it is O.K. to wish a Michigan player to be knocked out of THE GAME and be able to play again in the future. That's what rivalry games are about. This is football, not baseball. Players know what to expect when they put on the pads and helmets.

I'm sure Sam is a real nice kid. I'm sure his parents love him. Take football out of it, and find someone here who is just ripping in to him for some personal reason.

He plays for the "enemy" and I like it when he gets lit up. That's not a call for dirty hits, it's the same reason I liked seeing Chad Henne getting drilled. He's wearing the wrong colors. For that, he should pay. Put him on Ohio State's roster, and my thoughts would be exactly the same as when Ray Small got clobbered against Minnesota his freshman year.. "Man, I hope he's OK" instead of "WOW, what a hit... take that ya weasel!"
