S Vonn Bell (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

His tackling and overall poise could land him some serious PT.

Re-watching the season, there were 2 things that really stood out to me:

1. The number of dropped TD passes, specifically those over 20 yards. There had to be 5-7 TD's left on the field at the end of the season. Ugh. Not relevant here, though.
2. Shoddy safety play. Missed tackles, awful gambles, getting lost in space...for as many great plays Roby and the rest of the secondary made, the amount of boneheaded decisions boggles my mind. CB2 comes to mind...his insistence on gambling for INT's or hitting late really hurt the defense in critical stretches last season (I can think of a missed INT in the Wisky game that turned into a touchdown, and wasn't it IU that he hit someone out of bounds to extend a drive?)

The second one is an area Vonn could help out in right away. If he's able to play within himself and not get too hyped up, he could really help limit the big plays.

All in all, I'm pretty damn excited about the potential these guys have, this season and beyond.

I love a true frosh coming in and seemingly very comfortable already w/ his role and what the coaches expect. Confident but not super arrogant. Knows he has a lot to learn but doesn't feel anyone is that any better than he is.

Looks like a future leader of this football program down the road to me.

IF the Defense will just be disciplined to wrap up when tackling, that will automatically make it a better Defense and prevent the many big plays that occurred last year as a result of poor tackling.

I think Bell has to start seeing the field more this game. He proved to be a playmaker on special teams and urban said that's the way to start seeing the field. He and Bosa can both be game changers when out there on the field. Gotta think he starts rotating in with Powell. He's just too talented to keep on the sidelines, I'd like to see a whole half out of him I'm a buckeye blowout.
