S Vonn Bell (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

Rivals (FREE) - Tuesday AM Southern Swing notebook

.......now tipping the scales at 193-pounds. Bell stated that he played in the 177-180-pound range this past fall but has been hitting the weight room hard in order to be physically ready to contribute once he hits campus in June.

Contd.....

Always forget how electric Vonn is with the ball in his hands. In any event, our tackling deficiencies better be all the way fixed this year or Vonn will seriously take someone's spot. He is going to play, just a question of how much. He is already such a great form tackler and you too often see these super-star DBs tackling haphazardly early in their career...Vonn uses perfect form in the open field but really lays a lick too.

I agree, he's a very good tackler, especially in thw open field. I especially love the plays he makes on the ball at S. He's definitely going to get chances to play this fall. Withers raves about him and put some of the veterans on notice that he may get into some of their PT

Still can't fully grasp this kid is a Buckeye. Despite a LOADED class and the welcomed Dontre hype it's hard not to have him at the top of my board. I love the kids game but he just seems to carry himself very well too. We have lacked a stud safety for quite a while and I think we have one in Bell.
