S/LB Jer'Male Hines (official thread)

FWIW Hines is the 10th ranked OLB in the country by Rivals.

Ive seen him play a lot and I think he'll make a great WILL.

Hines also started at QB for the Tarblooders this year, and didnt play any defense for the first couple of games, and they definately struggled until Hines started playing linebacker again.

I think hes a step below Clifford and Martin but is definately a top-5 player in Ohio this year.

JMHO.

I'm no expert but there's no way whatsoever Rolle will play RB.

I agree but did did play quite a bit off fullback in HS (based on his highlight footage)

I think we'll definately see him on the Defensive side of the ball, based on the rave reviews that have been flowing in, and the fact that we have olsen in the fold from last years class who redshirted

A previous article referenced a Dec 9 ACT retake. Would I be correct to assume that the timing of this offer corresponds with approximately the time Hines would receive his new (presumably better) score?

No confirmation but it has to be. I've been told that Hines would be a Buckeye from Glenville people for awhile but was really wondering about the grades. Apparently he has set them straight, which is great news because Hines would already have his offer if his grades would have been good to go.

I've read various posts about limited scholarship offers and vital holes that need filled. Through all that, Hines is one recruit I would love to see in the Scarlet and Grey. Perhaps I'm spoiled on the way the Glenville boys have produced for us. Whatever it is, I hope to see him in a Buckeye uniform.

If we get Hines on board he will certainly be on the defensive side of the ball. I haven't seen him since last basketball season, but even then he was "Thick" with a well-defined upper body, big ass and big legs. He'll either be a big strong safety or a WILL. He was a kid (along with Rose at the time) that jumped out at you during warmups that he was something special. He very easily could end up being one of the better "gets" in this class.

RB07OSU - sounds very likely.

He retook say in early December, earliest grades would be viewed is Dec 20-21, lo and behold, the very next day news of the offer from Ohio State.
