it seems as if half the recruits always have USC as a finalist,
I'd go wherever they pay the most money, too

thanks anyway. it will be a fun treasure hunt.lvbuckeye;702142; said:oh crap... not a chance... i have no idea where i saw it...

BUT I do think that USC can be a real threat, and one worth mentioning--particularly since we play them in 2008 and 2009. Looking at the Scout top 100 list, it seems as if half the recruits always have USC as a finalist, and that worries me just a bit.

I'd rather OSU beat USC when USC is strong than to fear their talent, or beat em when they suck.
Besides, 5 star recruit business is more for show than having actual meaning. Give me 20 A.J. Hawk types.

Well said.OregonBuckeye;702154; said:Don't worry about talent. We will never be short on it. No coaching staff in the country is better at getting a player to reach his potential than Jim Tressel and Co.
We just need Llllloyd Carr to get that lifetime contract.Buckeyeskickbuttocks;702153; said:Relax, my man.... The Cooper era is over...
Scoutwise, I believe this team was a lot better than their title teams... yet they were very inconsistent this year. Michigan runs a very simiple offense w/ an immobile QB & has a terrible secondary to exploit. USC played well, but OSU would have given them a far better game.milkman21;702144; said:BUT I do think that USC can be a real threat, and one worth mentioning--particularly since we play them in 2008 and 2009. You're selling UTMNC short...jwinslow;702167; said:Scoutwise, I believe this team was a lot better than their title teams... yet they were very inconsistent this year. I'll admit I've had the same concern as you about their roster, but have faith in Tressel's development. Texas was also greatly superior in terms of scout rankings out of HS, xrayrandy made that point exceedingly clear.
