Rose Bowl - USC 32, Michigan 18 (FINAL)

My thoughts on this game:

1. Leon Hall is arguably the most overrated DB I've ever seen, as I said earlier this week. He gets lit up by any receiver that will make it to the next level. I feel sorry for the NFL team that wastes their top 10 pick on him.
2. Mike Hart and all the scUM morons that I've had to endure on the topic of scUM getting screwed should finally shut up.
3. I predict articles to be everywhere tomorrow quoting scUM players who said that USC is a much, much better team than tOSU.
4. Dwayne Jarrett is a classless idiot, and USC fans should be embarrassed that he represents their university.
Yup, all the oversensitive Buckeye fans need to get ready, because they're coming. I'll bet the first one is from Hart's big mouth.

Jarrett was exactly that, an embarrassment....complete jackass. Looked a lot like T.O. out there...to include the game he played.

So your saying Petey goes after the best high school players? That's just crazy enough to work! Alert the coaching staff! I'll bring sandwiches!
That's not what I am saying. I am saying that the highest "ranked" players are not necessarily the best...

I agree with the second half of Hart's quote. :tongue2:

usatoday

USC smells the roses, but Michigan gets bouquet of thorns

...

Lloyd Carr will hear this figure as often as his security number, so he might as well start now.

0-7.

That's the Wolverines' record in their last seven Ohio State or bowl games. They have been mostly close defeats against honorable names. But it does not take long to have too much of a bad thing, and Michigan is there.

"We were 11-2," Mike Hart corrected. "If that's not a successful season, I don't know what success is."

Well the little bitch did say they don't lose 3 games in a season, so I guess because they didn't it's a "success"...this after they all decided to come back for one more go because they couldn't beat us, of course :shake:

All the talk of scUM being a National Title competitor next year is laughable at best. Their D has been exposed in their last two games, and they're losing most of the push up front, their best LB and their best "cover" man. They'll lose 3 games next year. Write that down.

Yeah Michigan-ND is going to be a Fugly game next season...but I'm sure Mike Hart will have plenty of explanations why.

Hey guys I'm new here, but I've read a bunch of the comments here and I have a question to ask...

Am I the *only* Buckeye fan that wanted to see Michigan win? Here's my logic: UM beats USC, PSU beats Tenn, and of course tOSU beats UF... that leaves no doubt in anyone's mind who's the top dog.

I despise Michigan as much as the next guy, but I'd much rather shut up those SEC and Pac-10 apologists than see Michigan get spanked like they did tonight.

Hey, and those guys at Hiram must be thinking about what might have been!

Hiram beat
Earlham who beat
Manchester who beat
Grove City who beat
Muhlenberg who beat
New Jersey who beat
La Salle who beat
St Francis PA who beat
Central Conn St who beat
Colgate who beat
Massachusetts who beat
Richmond who beat
William & Mary who beat
New Hampshire who beat
UC-Davis who beat
Stanford who beat
Arizona St who beat
Northwestern who beat
Wisconsin who beat
Michigan who beat
Penn State

Sorry, should have been more clear about that. The Hiram chain was the joke from last year about making assumptions about one team beating another. That is last year, see http://www.cfbanalyzer.com/index.html. This year, I suppose Lake Forest must be sitting back in some despair about the Rose Bowl that got away.

Lake Forest beat
Monmouth IL who beat
Lawrence who beat
Minnesota-Morris who beat
Northwestern MN who beat
Augsburg who beat
Hamline who beat
Carleton who beat
Bethel MN who beat
Buena Vista who beat
Cornell IA who beat
Alma who beat
Albion who beat
Butler who beat
Dayton who beat
Robert Morris who beat
Central Conn St who beat
Georgia Southern who beat
Western Carolina who beat
Eastern Kentucky who beat
Western Kentucky who beat
Southern Illinois who beat
Indiana who beat
Western Michigan who beat
Virginia who beat
North Carolina St who beat
Florida St who beat
UCLA who beat
Southern Cal who beat
Michigan

If you want to see a man in depression, watch the postgame comments http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/video/flash/index.ssf?070101postrosecarr. Especially, funny? The look on Carr's face when they mention no shotgun, Mason being fired, and ask him if USC could have beaten Ohio State. There be demons thar'. :slappy:

holy shit... i'm like one minute into it, and Carr just said that they didn't go to the shotgun because it's part of their two minute offense, not their regular offense, and they felt like they needed to run the ball and they feel that to run the ball effectively, the QB needs to be under center. is this guy serious? don't they have at least ONE running play from the 'gun? seriously? i can hardly fathom that...

i'm a bit staggered by it. THAT, in a nutshell, is why M is in danger of going the way of Nebraska (as if they haven't already.) note to Llllloyd Carr: you might want to check out what Texas and West Virginia have been able to do with regards to running the ball from shotgun formations over the last couple seasons... hell, take a quick peek at Beanie's 56 yard TD in The Game... FYI, it was from the 'Gun...

unbelieveable. this guy just CAN NOT COMPREHEND that the game evolves, and you MUST adapt if you want to continue to be relevant. hell, i'm as ardent a Buckeye fan as we come, and i am, quite frankly, flummoxed to read such narrow minded idiocy...

TSUN truely is a dinosaur.
