Helluva game today, you gotta love it when preparation meets opportunity with a young player like Dallan.

Rest up, young man. Next Saturday will be one for the ages.

Yeah, next Saturday I expect he'll be RB1.

You run for 146 yards and score 3 TDs against Maryland, and it's just "ho hum". You run for 54 yards and score a TD against scUM, and you become an instant "legend".

Does anyone else see a freshman year Zeke in Dallan?

Zeke ran so hard as a freshman but was light for a back (200-205).

Dallan reminds me so much of Zeke with how he gets north/south.

Hate to say it but if they're both healthy give me Dallan over Trey. There's absolutely no substitute for vision and hitting a seam hard.

Dallan lacks Zeke's explosiveness from what I've seen. He looks like more of a grinder, to me...and I don't mean that disparagingly at all. He looks like the kinda back that doesn't necessarily give you the home runs, but he's rarely going to go down on first contact or lose yards and will consistently grind out 5, 7, 12 yard runs.

He was a beast today, and frankly the reason we won. For a true frosh, with this kind of star power around him, that's a pretty big deal.

He and a healthy Henderson should make for a formidable duo next year.

FIFY.

Also, yes I agree he lacks Zekes breakaway ability but they're very similar in how they make 1 cut and go. I think Dallan should have never played year in order to get stronger and bigger (needs another 15 pounds). That said, his vision and ability to finish his runs is impressive.

Agreed! Next year , and even the rest of this year should be Williams and Hayden. And next year Henderson should be used in limited capacities, and more in the pass game. But with how injuries go, we’ll probably have to depend on him and Pryor in some games as well

Henderson proved what he could do last year. I would not be so quick to dismiss an injured player.

My comment was based on his running style and how’s fit in the offense. Not what he can do when healthy. I think Henderson is very talented, but if Day is going to run the offense that he’s running, and using more stretch plays in the run game, than that makes Treveyon a liability in this offense. And we’ve seen this season that Williams has been our best RB overall, and Hayden has been second. Henderson will always be a HR threat, but he hasn’t been able to move the chains in short yardage situations, or in situations where the defense expects a running play. Hayden sees the hole, hits the hole and is fine with only getting 3-5yds, Henderson is constantly looking to break a long run. I’m not dismissing his talent, and his injury has been nagging, but if you look at Henderson last year, and Williams and Hayden this year, idk how Henderson is still the lead back.
