RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Amazing for a player who had 15 carries for 2 yards or less.

My thoughts too...must have been a lackluster week on offense for the Big 10. Beans did well to get a few stellar runs, but NW stuffed him numerous times. I was pretty disappointed with our line play as Beanie had to make something from nothing too often. Sometimes he was successful when NW didn't wrap up and he broke that long one, but other times, he was stuff (apparently at least 15 times...sheesh)

I guess my question to all of you who think that "The Beard" should not have gotten the Big 10 offensive player of the week is who should have gotten it? I don't think you can take one play away from a player because he made that play and how many guys in the Big 10 carry the ball that many times in one game except for maybe Ringer.

That's almost like saying take away the WRs from the QB and the QB's would not have very good stats. I thought he deserved it just because he carried the ball that many times which helped open out the passing game.

No kidding. Taking away the 55 yard dash, he had 85 yards on 27 carries, 3.1 YPC.

And take away the -10 and -5 yard carries he had when the fucking offensive line played matador and you get 100 yards and 20 carries, which is a respectable 4 ypc when the defense is keying on you.

I'm not taking anything away from Beans. I'm stating that for no one else to have done better...well that's not a strong week. Yeah, he got that run and that's awesome, but anyone watching that game as a Buckeye fan HAD to be frustrated with how Beanie was contained for most of the game. And once again, I'm not saying that's Beanie's fault as the line play was, once again, not special.

I suck at math...but I'm pretty sure that 100 yards on 20 carries is...my phone calculator says 5.0.

Your calculator also sucks at math. Bucky Katt said, "Taking away the 55 yard dash, he had 85 yards on 27 carries, 3.1 YPC." So, take 2 away from 27 and you get 25...
