I agree that that Knowshon and LeSean are great backs. Also both have the potential to be best in the nation in the future, but I cannot remember one point from last year that would make me say if I could I would take KM or LM over Beanie.

P.S. I wish the best for Mr. Mccoy my cousins go to the same high school as him and I believe played football with him.

Don't forget that Todd McShay was the one to call Vernon Gholston the most overrated player in the draft (he was wrong; it was Darren McFadden).

The nice thing is that once Kiper retires, we'll only have to ignore one of these yahoos.

Tough crowd. I guess seeing what Dmac did against LSU's defense, then seeing LSU's defense in the nation title game didn't impress you much...

I don't know if he was overrated but there are many comparisons to Peterson and watching him this year tearing up the NFL made some people pretty excited. I think high expectations will prove to be his downfall along with his upright running style which may cause him some serious pain if not corrected.

I can see your point by all means. People can pick anyone apart. There was NFL talent that he faced last year in the SEC,and his style didn't hurt him. Not saying it that it won't. We have a lot of people around this parts who believe a coach can take two pieces of coal and rub out a diamond yet a guy like Dmac isn't fixable by an NFL coach? Yea, the nfl is way different in all aspects, but in all seriousness it's hard to look down on a guy that ran through the sec at times at least. If he was wearing scarlet and gray we would all have been sporting number 5 jerseys(myself included)...Btw it's nice to see people compare people to AP...but until you're in the nfl and doing it...You're not AP..

In comparison, I also saw Dmac put a huge portion of that win against LSU on his shoulders...I believe he put up over 200 yards rushing..It wasn't like ARK's defense was in the game either..
............Car.Yds..Avg..Lng..TD
D-Mac....32..206..6.4...73...3
Beanie....20..146..7.3...65...1

Stats vs LSU... D-Mac was a work horse in that game but stats skewed because of OT and the increased Passing by Buckeyes in NC. Take it FWIW

And LSU's injury problems were for the most part healed by the time the NC game was played....

JT know's Beanie is a Heisman frontrunner, he'll make sure he gets the playing time necessary to keep him in position to earn it.

I feel just the opposite. If you listen to JT he talks a lot about the punishment players take over a 12 - 13 game season.

With Boom and Saine I look for JT to limit Beanie's carries and try to keep him fresher throughout the season. I don't see JT compromising Beanie's health or the team's chances to offset the potential that the voters can't look behind the numbers.

And Mo. (sorry Mo)

I've also been thinking along these lines. JT knows that a healthy, fresh Beanie is going to be a key to a NC win. I just don't see JT letting Beanie get beat up when we're blowing people out. Plus, the offense is sure to get better and more creative with the experience and talent we have returning.

I don't know...tough call for JT I'm sure...but I think we all know that a big game from Beanie against USC should be enough to vault Beanie into the top of the Heisman race. After that, he just needs to be steady and of course run all over tsun.
