RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

I don't make light of what Hyde did. He was foolish and deserves the punishment that Coach Meyer has given him.

Let's just remember that this image of an Alabama player is in the media this week too. Which coach has disciplined his player properly?

Because Urban Meyer and Ohio State are corrupt and evil.

He isn't getting charged because she was pressured into not pursuing charges (nevermind the same evidence used would be enough to charge her as well)

And because Urban Meyer does nothing but recruit lawbreakers and Ohio State does nothing but cheat.

I'm paraphrasing a little bit on it, but that's the sentiment.

Is there anyplace I can get all that on a tee shirt?

So you have talked to Hyde's teammates to get their exact feelings?

Plus any member of the football team is going to tell anybody who asks that it is not a distraction, what else are they going to say. It is not a major distraction like you said, but it is a distraction nonetheless and UM said he hated distractions (not specifying between large or small).

How about practicing a little reading comprehension before replying? I specifically said "it's not near the overall distraction many are making it out to be." Many think it's a big distraction...I think it's at best a minor a distraction.

The real culprit is the all-encompassing male rape culture we are forced to live in.

Cal boards are thinking he got off lightly

I find that Cal board to be highly annoying. Imagine The Shag if you stripped away all the humor, craziness, political incorrectness, mockery of aggy and were just left with the smug, self-righteous arrogance. That's the Cal board.

I hope Urban hangs 70 on the [censored]ing hippies.

You should practice what you preach then. You clearly mis-read my post.

And I noted your opioion in my response, just as you said.

All bitch slapping jokes aside, I have a daughter and if that were her in the video I'd be A) pissed at her for acting like a fool but also B) pretty far from ok with what Hyde did.

Another way to say it is I also have a son and if he were playing the role of Mr Hyde in that video the 3 games would be the very least of his worries. I, and worse for him-his mother, would take a personal interest in seeing him suffer for a while.

He could have easily walked away but instead leaned back in and slapped her. It wasn't much of a slap but that doesn't matter, it was a slap to the face of a woman. You don't hit women.

I'd be disappointed in my son or daughter for even being at that bar in the first place.

I couldn't stand those stupid places when I was in school and very much hope to pass that trait along to any future children.

I think of myself as a tolerant person, but, ummmm... no.

I think I've mentioned before the argument I got into with a (afro/women's studies) prof who gave a class lecture claiming that US Marines systematically tortured & executed prisoners during Desert Storm.

When I challenged her on that claim, pointing out that I had been part of 1st MarDiv's G2 & more importantly was physically present when one of the incidents allegedly took place (she claimed it happened to prisoners we took outside of Khafji) she became verbally abusive, started screaming & kicked me out of the classroom.

She then tried to fail me for the course. I finally took it all the way to the Chancellor's office to get it overturned...and pressured them to make her apologize. I'm still pissed that it was a private rather than public apology.

The story about reading while sitting on a bench near my truck while two female students expressed outrage that someone with NRA & USMC stickers would be allowed to publicly display such obvious hate symbols also took place on the campus there.
