FWIW, Dunn will be in Ann Arbor for the Purdue game next weekend.

You decided to post in a recruiting thread for the first time this calendar year to let us know that huh?

I'll say it again, scUM fans are to Brady Hoke what teenage girls are to Justin Bieber.

I'll leave it to others to identify Mike and jthorpe24 in the photo.

Not really surprising. Leaving the NCAA stuff aside, Ohio State just moved its 2010 five-star running back (Rod Smith) to linebacker because the backfield is too crowded, and 2012 commitment Warren Ball just adds another talented body to the mix.

Smith was a 4star but point taken.

Any way that can be viewed as a bad thing for incoming recruits? Sure, the backfield opens up by Rod switching to LB, but wouldn't some RB's feel "what if they tried moving me?" Granted, I've always liked the philosophy "we play you where we think you will succeed and make plays."

The backfield is crowded now. Boom graduates, Hall becomes the feature back (but he's still smallish); hopefully Hyde sticks around, but that's no guarantee. And Smith may stay at LB if he takes to it well enough.

I would agree that Dunn is the recruit we could most afford to lose, but Michigan is the team we could least afford to lose him to...

EDIT: And at this point, who really thinks Dunn will be a part of this class? History shows that committed prospects who are flirting with other teams often flip eventually.

The only real problem I'd have with Dunn deciding to go up north is the resulting chest-thumping and pompous declarations from their fans that the recruiting juggernaut Brady Hoke stole him from us.

Agreed, I don't see next year's backfield all that crowded and the year beyond that...even less so. I don't think playing time would be as much of a concern for Dunn as possible NCAA problems or the uncertainty of who will be coaching him.

Hall is gone after next year. That leaves Hyde and Berry with Dunn and Ball coming in. Not a crowded backfield at all, imo. Especially since Berry hasn't yet proved that he can stay healthy, plenty of opportunity for playing time, early on in his career, should be there.

TSUN fans come in two flavors...

White trash mouth breathers who bought their block M gear on sale at Wal-Mart and entitled d- bags from the NE who couldn't get into an Ivy or Yeshiva.

Who cares what either one of those groups thinks?

Dunn rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Eagles routed visiting North Canton Hoover, 38-13.

FICKELL PAYS A VISIT

Interim Ohio State head coach Luke Fickell stopped by GlenOak High School for the Golden Eagles' game against North Canton Hoover. It was more of a stop over to make sure verbal commitment Bri'onte Dunn is doing well. It was good for Fickell to show one of his most important recruits some attention during OSU's bye week.
