CANTON No one is saying where Bri'onte Dunn?s injury is. We know it isn't his right shoulder. Nor his left.

That's where he put his teammates at GlenOak High School in the fourth quarter. And the Golden Eagles rode the bruising 6-foot-1 1/2, 226-pound tailback to one of their most impressive wins in years.

GlenOak scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to beat McKinley, 16-7, in a driving rain at Fawcett Stadium in front of a statewide TV audience Thursday night.

"He has grown up so much in the last two years because last year or a two years ago, he couldn't have done what he did tonight," GlenOak head coach Scott Garcia said. "When he wasn't able to go, he was near the huddle. He was with his teammates. When he could do, he went."

Dunn finished with 17 carries for 71 yards, nearly all coming in the fourth quarter.

"The kid is a battler, a true warrior," McKinley head coach Ron Johnson said. "He played well. Big-time players make big-time plays when it matters most and he established himself as that tonight."

GlenOak's Dunn makes pain look fun

When all seemed lost for GlenOak, Dunn shook off an injured hip and took over the game, beating McKinley 16-7 Thursday night.

Last time I saw Bri'onte Dunn, he was a sophomore in high school. He was a kid who may or may not have been old enough to drive a car. But man, he knew how to drive his legs as a running back for GlenOak High.

Nobody outside of Canton was saying much about Dunn in those days. He was just a local football player with promise, somebody who could develop ? but when you're that age, it's too soon to know for sure.

Then came Dunn's junior year. Then more people learned his name. Ohio State and other major programs really knew about him for a while, but now we knew they knew about him. Suddenly, everyone started paying attention.

Now Dunn is a senior. And Thursday was the first time I got to see him in two years, with his GlenOak team holding off host Canton McKinley 16-7 in the FOXSports Ohio game of the week.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG! Already dubbing him better than Pittman? Pepe? J Wells? MoC? BEANIE?????

Granted, I've never seen him play in person, but this is one hell of a statement. It's not like the Bucks make a habit of putting slouches in the backfield.

Whats the latest on Dunn? Is the coaching staff continuing to keep contact with him? It would really suck if we lose this kid to the school up north. You can check out some of his highlights below if you haven't seen them.

Boardman beats GlenOak 17-14; hands Golden Eagles first loss

GlenOak scored first in the 1st quarter after Brionte Dunn scored on a 5-yard run to give the Golden Eagles a 7-0 lead.

Boardman clinches tie for Federal League title

D'Eramo had a plan to stop GlenOak running back Bri'Onte Dunn. The Spartans did, limiting the Ohio State commit to 83 yards on 22 carries.

"You got to shut the run down first," D'Eramo said. "If you can stop Dunn, you have a chance to make them one dimensional. We forced them to throw the ball, so we pinned our ears and got after it."

Dunn did get GlenOak (7-1, 3-1) on the board first with a five-yard TD run in the first quarter. After 47 seconds ticked off the fourth quarter clocked, Worstell hooked up with Hall for a 17 yard score, making it 17-14. It made for an awfully tense final period.
