QB Todd Boeckman (official thread)

I gotta say, everyone thought last year's quarterbacks were untouchable with Quinn, Russel, Brohm, etc...

But there are some real stud quarterbacks in the young groups right now, not to mention some good senior qb's as well...

Sam Bradford and Tebow are specifically Monsters...

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

JONATHAN QUILTER | Dispatch
First-year starter Todd Boeckman is 10th in the nation in passing efficiency.

Like a veteran club-goer enduring a comedian's tired material, Todd Boeckman could only roll his eyes when he heard the laughter.
At his weekly news conference Tuesday, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel praised the maturity of Boeckman, his 23-year-old quarterback, before pausing to quip, "Of course, he's older than I am."
Ha ha. He'll be here all week; don't forget to tip the wait staff.
"Did he joke about that one, too?" Boeckman said, minutes later. "He always throws something out there about (age)."
He smiled and answered questions for the next 30 minutes with poise and confidence he didn't possess even three weeks ago.

Out of all FBS quarterbacks with at least 15 attempts per game, those with the most Touchdowns per Attempt are (expressed as a percentage):
  1. Sam Bradford, Oklahoma:__________14.58
  2. Mike Teel, Rutgers:______________14.04
  3. Todd Boeckman, Ohio State:_______11.76
  4. Dennis Dixon, Oregon:____________11.46
  5. Cullen Harper, Clemson:__________11.11
  6. Tim Tebow, Florida:______________10.53
  7. Paul Smith, Tulsa:_______________10.20
No other quarterback has a touchdown percentage in double-digits.

.

Only Rice has given up more touchdown passes than Ohio State's next opponent, Minnesota.

You do the math...

something tells me that your verbiage is wrong here. you cannot possibly have more than one touchdown per attempt, let alone double digits. only Ryan Mallet can throw 10+ TDs on a single pass attempt...

perhaps you meant attempts per TD, in which case, the lower the number the better, not the other way around...

TD per attempts would be a percentage. if TB throws a TD every 11 attempts, his TD/attempt ratio is .09. TB threw 4 TDs on 14 attempts last week. that's a TD/attempt ratio of .29, or an attempt/TD ratio of 3.5.

or maybe i just don't know what i'm/you're talking about...

um... i feel stupid?

Don't...

The way I worded it was ambiguous. I feel ashamed to admit it, but the only reason I used the phrase "expressed as a percentage" rather than just including the "%" symbols in the table is because I thought it looked better that way.

I went for looks over functionality. Let me just turn in my y-chromosome and go have an orange creme margarita.
