QB Kyle McCord (transfer to Syracuse)

Narduzzi would put up with NONE of dad’s meddling.

Yeah, and coaches talk. You see a QB go 11-1 at Ohio State and he leaves, you're gonna call Ryan Day and see if you can learn what the hell happened. Unfortunately, Kyle's getting some bad direction from his dad. There's a sense of entitlement and/or an unwillingness to compete. You'd better be one helluva QB or you're going to find a limited market for your services.

Pretty much.

Say what you want about his leadership or playcalling or whatever, but most peers seem to respect Ryan Day as a QB instructor and if McCord just bolts as soon as the season is over, there’s pretty much no chance any other major coach is barking up that tree without talking to Day first about his helicopter dad, whether or not he’s coachable, etc.

Let's lay off Kyle.

My issue isn't with Kyle. I think his father is doing him more harm than good with bad advice and meddling.

Kyle played his heart out for the Bucks, even through injuries, and did the best he could. I hope it works out for him, despite his dad.

Syracuse? Seems like someone's dad may have overplayed his hand.

It was about to work out for him/them. Nebraska had a pretty generous NIL offer in place and he would've been guaranteed to start here. Then the Raiola stuff coincidentally or not came out of the blue while McCord was in Lincoln visiting.
I’m sure Raiola would need a start guarantee. He‘s not going to a lesser program to sit a year.
That is the understanding among those that know down here. The general fan base is freaking out a bit without connecting the dots. It is still a little nerve racking, because Nebraska also is going to lose their existing QB recruit in the class with no 100% guarantee that Raiola is signing. Again though all signs point towards Raiola probably coming here and wanting to play right away.
