For these reasons I'm all for athletes not having social media accounts while they are playing unless they are getting paid to do what they do. Not worth the stupidity that is rampant in the world today

Regardless if I feel we'd be in better hands with Barrett or not, no way I'd ever flat out accuse a kid giving his best shot every week to try and win. When they go on Twitter or Facebook or wherever else and say or do dumb things I might have something to say but not for play on the field no matter how frustrated I might get.

Just imagine the clamor & uproar that would follow if Urban put a ban on it.

I think all the Staff can do is continue to suggest that CJ consider the risks vs. benefits of being a Twitter Superstar (re-read this thread).

I understand being frustrated last night when he went on a streak of throwing behind the players, culminating in the pick. Cardale started really hot and had a great first half. The play calling hurt us a lot, but Cardale was playing great. Read option was not good, but throwing was great. Again, play calling. It evened out at the end of the game with a really bad run, but I'll take 67% completion for 245 yards any day. He's got to clean it up and the INT was really bad. His rushing was terrible, they need to wipe the read option from the playbook because he can't read the defenders. I think they need to stop practicing that and put his time into being a pro style QB, work on his footwork and hitting his targets in stride. He should only rush on broken plays or when he can't find a receiver, and all of those need to be between the tackles. Don't let him roll out of the pocket, he needs to stand there and step forward. He could very easily hit 70-75% completion percent and become an elite pro style QB if the offensive coaching will simply adapt and stop trying to make him Brax or JT.
