I personally think Boeckman will run the show and then borrow one from Urban, doing a Teabow with Henton.
I was really impressed with Boeckman in his limited time playing. I saw some smart decisions, an accurate arm, a guy that stood tall in the pocket, and someone that
could run on called QB draws (though he hurt himself on one of them in a game). I was disappointed with Schoenhoft, whom I had been expecting to someday be the starter ever since he verballed to tOSU. Maybe he was nervous/excited to be in or was just inexperienced, but he didn't perform all that well. However, Schoenhoft showed an ability to run, showed his arm strength (VERY comparable to, if not stronger than, Troy's arm), and has great measurables (6'6", 240+ ...yeah! 240lbs QB that can run).
I feel there are some misconceptions among the Buckeye faithful when it comes to Henton. Henton isn't Tebow. He's not Troy either, but he has a few characteristics that make him comparable. Like leadership. His sr year, his team went 0-3 to start the season with Henton injured and on the bench. After he came back from injury, the team finished the season 14-0 with a state championship. Not bad. He's also a throw first, run second type of QB, much like 2006 Troy.
There are also many differences between Henton and Troy. Henton has a pretty strong arm, but no where as strong as Troy, who has an underrated rocket launcher of an arm when needed ('twas VERY apparent early on, but learned touch as an upperclassman). Troy's also the better runner and is better at making the other guy miss. I'm not sure how he is in terms of progression, but Troy was argruably the best in the nation last year as far as progression went. I'm also not sure about how good Henton is at making "smart decisions" with the ball, but Troy set the bar up pretty high. It must be said too that the coaches feel that Henton is farther along than Troy was when they were both at the same age eligibility wise. That is VERY good news. I see a VERY interesting battle between Henton and Pryor here in a couple of years.
