Pittman, staff ready for recruiting stretch

Former Peach County quarterback Antonio Henton has been in school since the fall period started, as has his former high school target Chris Slaughter. FVSU is still working with Georgia Southern to get Henton's paperwork so he can start taking part in team activities. ''Georgia Southern still has a hold on it, for some reason,'' Pittman said. ''We don't know why.'' Both have been enrolled since the start of the school year.
Henton returns home after signing with Ohio State. He redshirted in 2006, played in three games in 2007 but got in trouble for a solicitation arrest, although charges were alter dropped.
When the Buckeyes signed highly touted quarterback Terrelle Pryor, Henton saw that his playing time would become almost non-existent, and transferred to Georgia Southern.
He passed for 1,554 yards and 13 touchdowns and rushed for 628 yards and nine touchdowns for the Eagles in 2008. But he left the program the following February, reportedly unhappy that he would have to compete with Lee Chapple for the start position.
He sat out the 2009 season.
