Teams dropped this week -- Pittsburgh, Duke

Games this week that could pare this list down (Vegas predicted "upsets" and close calls in parenthesis) -- Some great heavyweight match-ups and lots of close games expected this week:
#2 Baylor @ Kansas State -- Should be very interesting to watch with new freshman Baylor QB. Could be sink or swim on the road at night
#17 Florida State @ #3 Clemson -- Clemson's last big statement game for the committee
#4 LSU @ #7 Alabama (Alabama favored by 7) -- Could very well determine the SEC West
#5 TCU @ #12 Oklahoma State (TCU only favored by 5) -- The start of the Big 12 royal rumble
#8 Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh (Domers only favored by 7.5)
#9 Stanford @ Colorado -- Don't sleep on Colorado... they almost came back to win at UCLA last week
#10 Iowa @ Indiana (Iowa only favored by 8)
#13 Utah @ Washington (a "pick-em" game, believe it or not) -- Vegas thinks the Utes are overrated
Navy @ #15 Memphis (Memphis only favored by 8.5)
Cincinnati @ #18 Houston
Northern Illinois @ #20 Toledo (Toledo only favored by 7)
Duke @ #21 North Carolina

I'm digging those match ups next week!

They adjusted and pretty much followed the lead of the committee last year too. Not sure why they even bother with a poll anymore tbh.
Particularly considering how blatantly some voters don't pay attention/purposefully vote like a jackass. I am 100% certain the poll would be in better hands if they put bloggers in charge of the vote. They pay more attention and actually give a damn about the sport.

It's clickbait material.
More than a few AP voters seem to have established a schtick for purposefully over and under-rating teams to generate controversy -> attention -> clicks -> $$$

I find it hard to criticize anyone for voting Clemson number one this week.
I don't have a problem with CFP ranking Clemson #1... but the fact that the AP voters flipped their script in such a reactionary way is pretty humorous. Suggests what we all thought - they don't think for themselves, they're not actually watching games

Not really faulting them, but they really don't seem to get that the committee rankings are not done like a traditional poll. I think the Committee even said last year that all of their rankings are pretty much BS until the last ones, yet the AP voters get all butthurt whenever their rankings don't match the precious polls.

Then they're going to be pissed off tomorrow when the committee puts Notre Dame at #4 instead of Baylor and flip-flips us and 'Bama. I think the committee will go with:

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
