Preseason and Regular Season Polls (2015)

In order for 2 SEC teams to get into the playoffs, one would have to have 2 losses.
I cant imagine a 2-loss non-sec champion jumping two other conference champions.
(Ole Miss, Bama, LSU, Florida) Are the only potential playoff teams.
LSU still has to play Bama and Ole Miss.
Florida will probably win the East and face one of the other 3 teams above.
Not good for SEC land.

Iowa should go undefeated...They are scheduled to play the worst teams in the B10 for the rest of the year.
OSU, Mich St, or Iowa will win the Big10

Clemson should be able to win out. Toughest game left is FSU.

Whoever survives the Big XII circus show should make the playoffs.

Pac-12 will get left out. Unless Stanford wins out...and something crazy happens like, Clemson loses.

Memphis - If they go undefeated, which would include wins @ Houston and @ Temple....you can't keep them out of the playoff.

I see B1G, SEC, Clemson and Stanford/ND. No BigXII.

Yeah, Wilner is a hack. Had Texas A&M #2 two weeks ago.

Oh I'm going to be addicted to this website. Great layout to quickly identify the outliers and crazies w/o having to pick through every voter.

I wanna wring Joe Tessitore's neck. He gives Galloway a ton of [Mark May] for having us at #1 in his playoff bracket and says LSU is his #1. Fine. But then he starts mentioning Alabama, and when Galloway asked him point blank if Tessitore would have them in his top 4, Tessitore skirted the issue and then mentioned Alabama and Stanford pass the eye test better than Ohio State. You know, the Alabama and Stanford teams that have losses. Fuck Tessitore...

Speaking of Stanford, I'm wondering how they're ranked above Iowa at this point.
Last I checked, Iowa beat Northwestern... unlike Stanford. Hard to take UCLA as a significantly better win than Wisconsin at this point... I see nothing to make up for the discrepancy in records (with the loss being a shared opponent).
Similar story with Notre Dame.

Sticking with the topic of has-been programs getting love on name recognition ... the Fighting Khakis are apparently the best 2-loss team in the country. Their coach is a genius (think schematic advantage). #HarbaughEffect

Agree with everything except uncle/ wisky. UCla in their wins looks good. Wisky in win or loss looks like complete incompetent dogshit

Wilner has always been a hack, how hey let this guy continue to vote is beyond me.

12 "extreme" votes in ONE WEEK

Why a guy from the Bay Area, California has such a hard on for the SEC and such comical bias against Ohio State has alwas cracked me up.

9 weeks complete, 23 teams with legitimate cases to be on the initial CFP playoff rankings

Unbeatens (listed by AP ranking):
Ohio State
Baylor
Clemson
LSU
TCU
Michigan State
Iowa
Oklahoma State
Memphis
Houston
Toledo

1-Loss Teams (listed by AP ranking):
Alabama
Notre Dame
Stanford
Florida
Utah
Oklahoma
Florida State
North Carolina
Temple
-----------------
Navy
(other 1-loss teams but are basically "Out" with their only loss: Marshall, Appalachian State)

2-Loss Teams (still in play for conference championship & spot in playoffs):
m*ch*g*n
Ole Miss

Teams dropped this week -- Pittsburgh, Duke

Games this week that could pare this list down (Vegas predicted "upsets" and close calls in parenthesis) -- Some great heavyweight match-ups and lots of close games expected this week:
#2 Baylor @ Kansas State -- Should be very interesting to watch with new freshman Baylor QB. Could be sink or swim on the road at night
#17 Florida State @ #3 Clemson -- Clemson's last big statement game for the committee
#4 LSU @ #7 Alabama (Alabama favored by 7) -- Could very well determine the SEC West
#5 TCU @ #12 Oklahoma State (TCU only favored by 5) -- The start of the Big 12 royal rumble
#8 Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh (Domers only favored by 7.5)
#9 Stanford @ Colorado -- Don't sleep on Colorado... they almost came back to win at UCLA last week
#10 Iowa @ Indiana (Iowa only favored by 8)
#13 Utah @ Washington (a "pick-em" game, believe it or not) -- Vegas thinks the Utes are overrated
Navy @ #15 Memphis (Memphis only favored by 8.5)
Cincinnati @ #18 Houston
Northern Illinois @ #20 Toledo (Toledo only favored by 7)
Duke @ #21 North Carolina
