"Coaches Poll top 25: SEC lands six teams in the final rankings" .............um, so did the B1G?

And B1G had 4 in the top 12, whereas the SEC had 4 in the bottom 12 of the ranking..I know, I am nit picking here, but that headline chapped my ass.

Just barred from travel? I thought band directors were supposed to be fired for things like this? Or is that only if the band members' out-of-town shenanigans included getting tattoos?

Stanford's band skirts all the rules by having almost no support from the University. I don't believe there are any salaried employees, a proper band director, etc.
It's like an unsupervised after-school club... and that's how they get away with murder (comparably speaking). It's also why they're such a clusterfuck... that said, some of the stuff they do is pretty funny. Some not. They're very hit/miss... a halftime show about cow-tipping against Iowa... I'll give that one to them.

When Purdue is the second best team in the Big Ten, it's because the conference is down. When Ole Miss is the second best team in the SEC it shows the depth of the conference. I mean come on, Ole Miss had like a 3 season span in the last decade where they didn't win a single conference game.
