Why is the Board Traffic slow lately?

Not to mention the fact that, typing an obscenity into Google would be the fastest way to find the site if you couldn't remember the URL.

I don't really worry about what's on my screen at work since we moved to our new office last year, now that I have privacy. At the old office I got scared as hell every time something that looked like it could be porn popped up. I can understand where people are coming from if they have a problem with all of the half naked women that are in sigs and avatars. You can choose to stay away from the RR or "swimsuit issue" threads, but you can't stay away from avatars and sigs without turning them all off. I love seeing Jessica and jiggling boobs as much as every guy this side of Thump, but I would understand if they were banned.

Not sure I agree with mob mentality...sure there are a few folks that stick together, but I would say that ranges across numerous factions across the membership...not one giant clique.


I do however understand that unmitigated negativity can't be tolerated but it's like "you're with us or against us."

I really don't agree with this one...or at least I personally don't see it. All I have ever asked for is discussion with the criticism. Recently, we haven't had much of that. Folks just want to vent without thinking...what is the point of that? All that does is make this place common.

Anyway, good points all around.

I'm not saying that the entire site is one clique but like when you guys piled on TG05.

I totally agree he deserved it in the beginning but man, after a while people just dinged him b/c everyone else was.

Same with djtidebuck, what did that guy do that was ever malicious or negative?

Not much that I remember yet people just piled on that guy like crazy.

Certain times it's warranted, like Tibor's final posts that got him banished, but other times it's people on here who seem to get a power trip out of "bullying" other people around.

I never once dinged him until he asked me to do so. :) How do you know people dinged him because everyone else was? Are you the only person on here allowed to have a reaction to a certain poster or trend of posters? Seem uneven.

Agreed on this one. I always liked Donny and still PM with him occasionally.

Donny annoyed me to no end, so a lot of the piling on was my fault, but donny never really posted anything of value either. I just can't stand his stupid question threads.

As far at TG05 I only dinged him when he posted something really bad or was whining about dings, which only ended up being 2 or 3 times I think. I don't agree with piling on just for the sake of piling on and the only time I do that is if someone is a flamer and is going to be banned anyway.
This weekend I posted under a different name at my gf's house to see how I was treated and I have to say that people who are perceived to be newbies are treated worse. Someone dinged my other account solely because they disagreed with a band I didn't like. I guarantee that no one would ding "exhawg" for that for fear of a dingback.
