Why is the Board Traffic slow lately?

Excellent point. Now, personally, I don't have a problem with obscenities at their face because my co-workers may not happen to read them over my shoulder or walk into my office and catch a glimpse of something that is otherwise objectionable activity at work. Great big 640x480 half-naked photos and animations is a different issue for me entirely because of the office environment. Really, if this is to become the status quo what's the point of the Romper Room if I can see T&A in every thread.

Also regarding obscenities, a good rant is far less effective if you can't drop at least two or three f-bombs. :biggrin: I wouldn't complain though if there was a stipulation on swearing in the main forums, like Buckeye Football, versus a more liberal policy in Open Discussion.

I totally agree with 3 and 5. I felt like when I joined BP that a lot of my posts were being ignored simply because I was a new poster. I continued to post and once i had reached a few hunderd I felt like I was getting some attention finally. This is a problem with most forums though, not just BP. I think we need to be a little more inviting, though I am just as guilty of the next guy on this one.

With 5, I think the ass and titties are going a little too far. Dry is right along the lines about having to be careful where to open BP nowadays. I think we need to keep this stuff in the Romper room. Granted, a new sig with something sexy is cool for awhile, I'd rather it be something temporary than a permanent thing.

Hell, yeah, this place is harsh on newbies! I was banned within about 37 seconds of my first post... but that was all in good fun. :tongue2:

Seriously, though, I've only been posting here about a month, and I didn't feel any ostracism as a newbie. However, I have known of BP for a long time, and I did lurk around here from time to time for a long while before I ever started posting. So, I kind of feel like I've known you all for a while, and I had a good sense of the atmosphere and tone of this place before I came in. I think the whole cliquey, veteran vs. rookie thing is a common occurance on message boards, and I think it is usually because newbies don't take the time to look around before posting questions or opinions, which, though perhaps valid, have often been answered and expressed already. Unfortunately, most people are too lazy to do a little research to see if maybe there are already answers to their questions in older threads, so they produce tedious redundancy.

So, I guess I'm saying that you guys are off the hook as far as newbie hazing goes, at least in my experience. Honestly, I haven't paid too much attention to the gang-dinging of TG05 and others, so I'm not sure what's at the root of that. I just roll my eyes at it and move on and assume that there was something I missed that made him deserving.

Oh, and to answer the real question here, work pretty much dictates my posting frequency. Some days I'm very busy, and others I do maybe fifteen minutes of real, actual work, leaving me more time to spend here.

I have had to turn the signatures off since my girlfriend's 4 year old daughter saw Mr. I's bouncing titties a little while back. You miss out on a little bit, but it's not too bad. The avatars are almost to the point they have to go, but not there yet. Maybe we could pick one or the other and say they have to be clean.

Thanks though. It wasn't an issue maybe six months ago, but in the last month it's really gotten out of hand. It's difficult to visit BP while at work with graphics enabled, and if I wait to visit BP from home I usually wind up getting slapped and having to sleep on the couch. :tongue2:

There was only one avatar I thought went over the line, or even approached it. It was the "Couch Nigga" one... I think that was handled fine.. and, the guy was a Noob too.... I don't think anyone ganged up on him, or dinged him in to oblivion....
