I'm actually working too... and we might. I work for VF. I've gotta think we've looked at buying ya'll out and running your brands into the ground. :wink2:
I don't work for Polo. Buy them out for all I care. And don't threaten me, I can screw up your whole operation from where I'm sitting

For me, it is kind of an "all of the above" situation.

1. Work has been insane recently. I've been really busy and have only been posting around lunch.

2. Even in most wins, the team has been underachieving and rather dull, making analysis of them a frustrating task.

3. We're running out of things to say right now..."Smith vs Zwick", "Teddy's dissapearance", "We need an offensive coordinator!", "Is Pittman a star?" and "AJ Hawk walks on water" have become relatively tired topics. It just seems like, under Tressel, every year has the same questions and answers. If this year wasn't going to be different, we may never see it.

4. Lot's of personal issues and alternate activities have caused the board to take a back seat. Things will probably get more active when the weather isn't so stinkin nice.

I voted other.

The roaches only come out of hiding when we lose and it's Indiana week. I'm sure that if we don't beat the Hoosiers (wtf is a Hoosier?) by 8 TDs and have a 1000 yards in offense, they'll be back.

1. The bandwagon is empty with the 2nd loss. When the Bengals are the best football team in the state of Ohio you know hell has frozen over.

2. There is nothing left to talk about. The offense his issues? No fucking shit. 2001 called and wants their headlines back. I've got my hand on the ignore button the duplicity of the threads has gotten so bad.

3. Too many people on the board have become too combative and are discouraging new membership. There is a 'my way or the highway' attitude that is starting to effect threads when an unpopular or outside-the-box opinion is presented, and there is an established clique of longtime members (growing pain of every message board, so this isn't necessarily a BP issue).

4. The information on this board doesn't (usually) cost $77, so it must not be true. Also Navy is not receiving enough votes in the BP Top-25 poll to demonstrate credibility.

5. Thump has the boards' most thought provoking threads. We've got issues.

5b. Half of BP's membership now has asses, tits, or both in their avatars and sigs. This is fucking rediculous. I can't even visit BP from work unless I start using Lynx or turn off everything in the User CP.

Pffft for our offense? That isnt even a challenge. Our offense is so fricking awesome, they will have that by halftime. In fact, TG alone will have that much by halftime.

Guess I am used to having such a laid back atmosphere at work. Never really thought of it this way. Should we make a rule about sigs and avs? (Yes the first part of this post was thick sarcasm, this part isnt)

I totally agree with the "mob mentality" point. If someone like Mili starts bad-mouthing a poster all of his cronies pile on and have a mass dinging party.

The site hasn't been very welcoming to new posters with different ideas.

I do however understand that unmitigated negativity can't be tolerated but it's like "you're with us or against us."

I do know that you can turn off avatars as well as sigs in your UserCP.

I do agree though that some of that may turn away new visitors and posters.

I do think the mob mentatlity of this place is the main reason for people not posting as much.

I mean they ran donnyjr off and he was just an innocent poster but everyone jumped on.
