The only money the government has is what they print and what they steal from us.

Comrade KattFuck them for making us do homework before we can buy their products at the advertised price. And even when we do everything we're supposed to do, they still try to fuck us
They mislabel things and hope you don’t notice at checkout. We were picking up a few things a few weekends ago and I saw that the kind of cheerios I like was on sale for $1.99 with the digital coupon. Super — scan the code, go to the app, clip the coupon, grab 3 boxes, carryon.
We go to checkout at the self scan and it rings up for $5.29 per box. Call over the cashier and he asks if we are sure — I tell him yes and that I can see the endcap with the cereal and the price tag. Send my wife over to get a photo and she brings it back. He overrides the price and I get them for $1.99
I’m annoyed by this and get home to look at the coupon. Oh, it’s only for select General Mills cereals and this type of Cheerios wasn’t one of them. These boxes of cereal were on an end cap and the sale label was directly on the shelf these cheerios were sitting on. It was not a case of the label being in a big shelf full of different kinds of General Mills cereal. So either they made a mistake or they intentionally mislabeled it. At this point, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore.
I check every damn price when I checkout and then confirm afterwards on the receipt since the discounts don’t show up when you scan the product but only after you have hit the "pay now" button. And most of the discounts apply at the same time so you don't have a chance to see them on the screen.
How many people get ripped off and never even notice?
I’d never do it, but at this point, I don’t blame people for stealing from these companies. They’re stealing from us constantly, so fuck them.
And don't even get me started on self-checkout. I don't mind using it for a handful of items, but with the shift to now everybody has to use it whether they have a handful of things or an entire cartful? Fuck that. The people at the registers are so much faster at scanning a cartful -- now it takes me longer to scan things plus there is no space to put the scanned groceries so it's a constant juggling act of moving stuff in and out of the cart. It's no wonder people miss scanning things (on purpose or on accident) there. They've made their bed here, they get to sleep in it. Of course, they'll just raise their prices to cover the shrinkage, so it's just honest people that end up paying for the cheats. Just like everywhere else.
I'll stick with Aldi for most products. They may have made the shift to self-scan, too, but at least you don't have to play this bullshit game of carrying a discount card, downloading an app that steals your data, and then still having to go into the app to clip coupons just to get the sale price.
I'm reading the Grapes of Wrath right now and its astonishing just how many of the 85-year old themes about evil corporations still apply. Fuck them all.
I didn't realize you live in Ann Arbor.people are extra-Walmarty in my town
Thank you. You speak for most of us who refuse to be stigmatized because we are rocking athlete bodies but remain "more ample" in certain respects.I hate "influencers" that do shit like this. What a piece of absolute shit.

We use quickbooks and I can't stand it. Now it has gotten really expensive to boot. Do you have any recommendations for just a simple bookkeeping software? We would have to do something for payroll but it would be worth it to get rid of qb. Thanks.Today it's Intuit. They actively run commercials telling people my services aren't worth anything while selling products that compete directly with our professional software that I buy from them. They've effectively discontinued our ability to offer a particular service except that we are grandfathered in (for now). They are discontinuing the desktop version of their main product in lieu of the subscription based online version that is complete shit. And today, they arbitrarily turned off my ability to process something for a client and when I called in, they (overseas, of course) refused to speak with me because I'm not the client even though the subscription I am calling about is in my name and my business's name. They refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. They refused to confirm that the subscription was active last week and something went wrong on their end. 3rd agent I spoke to finally looked the subscription name rather than client name and was able to confirm that the issue was on their end and reactivate the service. I try to be the nicest person in the world to customer service reps, but that went out the window today.
They have bought up all sorts of good products (CreditKarma, Mint, mailchimp) and then either kill or ruin the product in no time at all. Plenty of money for that. Plenty to name a sports arena. Plenty to slap a patch on an EPL club. And yet their product gets worse and more expensive every year.
They actively lobby Congress not to simplify the tax code. They offer a free version of TurboTax but then hide that version and push a paid version that portrays itself as free while hitting people with fees at the end of the process.
They just fucking suck.
