The only way Stoops should be blamed for this IN ANY WAY , is if he got the players that job.

That is not what I am reading. Most of the press is hailing him for his heroic actions.
he is to blame. The head coach has all these staffs that over see academics, jobs,,,,,,,,, they all report to a part of the football staff and that gets to him. He knew what was going on some how .Make no mistake about it, I won't be complimenting the way he handled the matter, but I refuse to blame him for it based on some of the reasons that others on here are. Although now I must read the link in MeThomps post.
Good point...Here is another thought about those personal pages. As I understand it, the folks posting their comments to that page had first to be "invited" or accepted by Bomar as "friends" - I'd say they are a lot less close now - wouldn't you?
So what if a lot of people work at the same place. Are you going to tell them they can't work at the same job. It is a luxury position that D1 players are in, where in such jobs they can pick there work place so I'd like to work with a lot of my teammates also. If the investigation comes down that those 2 were in fact the only ones who were cheating the system, then is Stoops to blame. You go check out the place and 90% of the teammates working there have there stories check out as being legit. He isn't a full time babysitter, and kids can take money anywhere at anytime, it doesn't have to be through work. A coach shouldn't be blamed for this if he has been lied to by his players. If it's proven that all of the players were getting money from that company i'll weaken on my stance as that is too many players, but for now I feel strongly that Stoops is getting a raw deal, he isn't a full-time babysitter.

This site broke a scandal!!!!!!
Texas A&M and Miami have met once on the gridiron with the Aggies handing the Hurricanes their worst loss in Miami history, 70-14, in the 1944 season.
This fall Coach Fran will make the naysayers and chronic bedwetters in the media and on the internet look silly. I'll be riding on the FranWagon as it rolls into Glendale next January.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Texas A&M-Commerce has asked Oklahoma for permission to contact ousted quarterback Rhett Bomar to discuss his possible transfer to the school.
Commerce officials confirmed Friday that they’re interested in having the former Sooners starter play for the Division II school.
Coach Bob Stoops dismissed Bomar and offensive lineman J.D Quinn from the team on Wednesday for breaking NCAA rules by accepting compensation beyond the actual hours they worked at a Norman car dealership.
In response to media inquiries, A&M-Commerce released a statement from athletic director Jim Johnson.
"First and foremost, like the University of Oklahoma, Texas A &M University-Commerce is an NCAA member institution firmly committed to following all NCAA rules and legislation," Johnson said. "We are firmly committed to ensuring that we diligently educate our coaches, student-athletes and boosters on those rules.
"That said, we have sent a request, per NCAA legislation, to the University of Oklahoma asking permission to contact Rhett Bomar and to discuss the possibility of his transfer to A&M-Commerce."
Bomar, of Grand Prairie, Texas, set an Oklahoma freshman record with 2,018 passing yards last season after taking over as the starter in week two.
An attempt to contact Bomar on Friday night was unsuccessful.
