Looks like Courts got an at large bid but Mark Martin did not nor did Burcher at 149.
Not a surprise on Burcher but a little surprised Martin didn't get one. Anyone know when brackets get released?

I think they set those 1 week before the tournament starts. Best guesses...Not a surprise on Burcher but a little surprised Martin didn't get one. Anyone know when brackets get released?
And here are the actual seeds just released by the NCAA
125 - 1
133 - 10
141 - 6 (was off by one)
149 - N/A
157 - unseeded
165 - 3
174 - 11 (was off by 4)
184 - unseeded
197 - N/A
285 - 2
Nato gets Gilman in his half of the bracket. JDJ faces his old nemesis Clark in a possible quarter final assuming he can get past the first two guys. Micah has Jack and Mckenna in his half of the bracket but there are no easy draws at 141. Jake Ryan will face JoJo Smith in his first match. Don't see him winning that. Bo and Isaac in the same half. Myles Martin ended up avoiding Bo Nickal and has Butler and Realbuto in his half. Courts opens with Blake Stauffer and I don't see him winning that match. Snyder got the 2 seed and would meet Ty Waltz in the semi finals.

I could see both Ryan and Courts going 0-2. You need offense to win matches at this level and Ryan's offense has been declining all year and Courts has shown nothing since getting the AA last year. At this point he may be just happy to have made it back. Watched a couple of Walz matches last night - a few against Coon and one where Gwiz dominated. I think Snyder takes him using the same strategy he's been using. My breakdown of the brackets (props to @Delaware Buck for being on top of it):
125: Can't disagree here, but beating Gilman in the semi's is probably tougher than beating either of Dance or Megaludis imo. But I believe Toms is the best here and we will be good to get to the finals.
133: Not that I have a ton of faith in Johnny D, but this is a great draw...about the best you could hope for. He needs to beat Montoya in the 2nd but if hes does, that keeps OSU in the discussion near the top imo. And I do think that is possible to get him into the quarters against Clark.
141: Could not have played out better for Mic imo. I like him to get into quarters and honestly, I like him to beat Jack to get into the semis. I think the match with him and McKenna will be a tough one. This weight could go a ton of different ways but I really hope that Mic takes it all the way..its certainly possible if he stays on his attacks.
149: N/A
157: The only weight so far where I feel we got screwed. Really bad first round matchup but I guess his opponent could say the same. We win two matches at this weight and it is a win imo, although I think Ryan has the ability to win 3-4 matches if he wrestles well.
165: Bo vs. Isaac in the semi's most likely, no surprises there. Not sure if Bo can beat Isaac but hopefully he does for the first time because that would be huge points getting into the finals...I know he isn't beating Dieringer if he gets there but the points in getting there are bigger than any points gained by a decision in the finals.
174: Hammond is a tough draw in the second match and so is Butler in the quarters. Martin truly does have the ability to win any match though and I think he has momentum going into this...he pulls some upsets and we are in the top 3 race.
184: Stauffer is a ridiculously tough draw out of the gate but hey, that is what he gets for wrestling so poorly this year. I see it very unlikely that he wins his first match.
197: N/A
285: #2 seed was expected but the match in the semis against Walz could be a dandy. I personally think Snyder will smoke him but Walz could make it close. In the upper bracket, watch out for Coon to get in the semis and give Gwiz a match. But end of the day, I think we are set up for an epic finals match of Gwiz vs. Snyder like all the fans want.
I will loop back and check out how the draws went for the other contenders, but not a bad setup for the Bucks imo.

Agreed...Ryan has to develop some sort of offense because his defense is deteriorating...his opponent knows he won't attack them. Courts has the skill and I know he has done nothing all year, but that was his story heading into NCAAs last year as well, so I am hoping he can somehow pull off a couple wins. And yes, I absolutely see Snyder beating Walz...leading to an epic showdown at Heavy with Snyder and Gwiz.
When you see developments like these for Ryan and Courts how much of this is the individual wrestler and how much of it is the coaching/coach's strategy?
The only thing that is going to stop them is injuries or Sanderson getting bored and moving on to something else more challenging. Sanderson is recruiting anyone he wants - like Saban and Meyer do in football. They'll get Spencer Lee to verbal over the summer. Teasdale the following year and as you already mentioned they are loaded now and young. I've heard that none of the current kids on their roster are getting above 60% scholarship - including the starters and 1# guys and that these kids are OK with that because it gives them a chance to win both individually and as a team. With 9.9 scholarship you have to stretch the budget as far as possible. If that's the case and they are able to get kids to commit and pay their own way for partial tuition I don't see how anyone is stopping them.Cliff Keen Dream Team Classic was tonight and the headline match was Mark Hall vs. Alex Marinelli. Thought it would be a tight one but Hall majored Marinelli 14-5. Hall is just at a different level I guess because even with Marinelli bumping up later in the year, that was not expected at all. Hate to say it but I'm not sure how PSU is even going to be beatable in the upcoming years with Retherford, Nolf, Nickal and Hall having that much eligibility combined...Hall will wrestle right away and likely compete for a title immediately. I realize that is just a list of 4 guys but you know they are going to have others join the fray...and then Rasheed and Nevills are RS Freshman who are going to be really good, plus McCutcheon is a tough sophomore. We will really have to step it up in the next couple years for sure.
LET'S GET READY TO WRESTTTLLLLEEEE! I am hoping to play the first round in the background at work.
Jake and Kenny exceeded expectations and came up just a little short. Great first round.
