Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

what is like for tOSU, and/or other bigger schools. Thanks MPhillips.
I don't believe OSU would be that close, maybe OKST and Iowa...

Found this on another site...

"Ohio RTC is in a position where they need to fundraise to cover expenses every year. Hawkeye RTC somewhere around $5MM and 2x the budget.
Cowboy RTC had a huge cash injection recently, coinciding with Chad Richinson's arrival as the largest booster in all of college wrestling--also backstopping D.T.'s 6 year ~$6.5MM deal (before incentive bonuses)."

Bummer on Geog. I alway thought he had the tools to be good/great. It almost seemed like his true battle was his lack of confidence in himself and realizing his ability. Like he would get frustrated and mentally check out of matches, which led to gas tank issues. He definitely showed flashes of brilliance at times and equally had inexplicable losses on his resume.

Ohio State picks up D1 heavyweight state champ, Cliff Nicholson from Medina. 47-1 and won a D1 championship.
Really nice pickup. Watched his state finals match and my quick takeaways are that he's got some room on the frame for good weight (but likely on the smaller side of the HWT class), moves very well circling with his opponent and changing levels, and appears pretty decent wrestling on the mat. Not sure how he'll stack up with the elites, but it's a welcome addition.

Don't remember any age limitations beyond the 18 year olds competing in HS. Being held back for whatever reason stunted several kids at my HS. And, there's a select few helicopter parents that hold back their kids, to allow them to physically develop. My daughter was on the cusp, and Board member asked me, are you going to feel better putting Haley on a plane for college at 17, or at 18. Game over, and we started her in K a year after (had her in Montessori K for that year). Anyway, first thought was to the few, but maybe significant group of youngsters that went into the military straight from HS, and came out with 4 years of eligibility, and college money from the military. Guess they would not be able to compete?
