Sad to see from a standpoint of feeling for Sammy, but perfectly understandable. Ryan felt Sasso was at about 30% of what he used to be heading into the season and I was worried it would turn out like it did when I heard that. There was nothing unsafe about him wrestling, it was just a matter of realizing we were not likely going to see anything close to what we did before he was shot.
He had an amazing career and to keep it in perspective, the whole incident could have resulted in his death and fortunately he survived and was able to recover. I have no doubts he will find success beyond the mat and he will always be a beloved Buckeye. I hope he can still be around the team in some fashion.

100%. I held off saying it, but I am beyond pissed at some punks on the street that took away his dream. I know the world isn't fair, but that doesn't mean you can't be pissed off at the people that cause stuff like this. I try to practice forgiveness in my personal life and that is a struggle at times, but the criminal justice system is here for a reason to deter this crap. Personally I want these people rotting in a jail cell knowing what the consequences of their actions are, because Sammy put in every ounce of effort and had it taken away by a couple of idiots. More than anything, I just feel for Sammy when he did everything the right way and a senseless crime happens.
