Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Overall a pretty bad performance, but plenty of close matches that can be redeemed at NCAA's if guys start peaking at the right time. Cannon is the sole bright spot in this tourney, though Bouzakis and D'Emilio have fought back in consolations. The reality is we know we were not going to take top two in the tourney but I had hoped for better individual results at most weights. That is going to hurt a lot of our wrestlers seeds at NCAA's.

Switched in and out during wrestling, preferring to watch the Lady Bucks get pounded, and the Men Bucks get out-lasted. Not certain made the best decisions. Sorry to hear the above results. Still hoping tOSU gets more than a few singlet guys into the NCAA's. Still time....Go Bucks!

I watched the IU game game and felt the same way, but did have the B1G tourney on record and managed to not see the results before I watched. It was a beautiful day, so I got a good hike in with the dog and hit a couple breweries for patio beers with my some friends. Point is I'm glad I got out for most of the day because it was a disappointing sports day.

On wrestling, despite the bad start we need to really have a strong day today because seeding matters for the Tourney. The team score is somewhat of a lost cause for the B1G, but there are matches that matter a lot going on today. It is disappointing to only have 1 guy in the finals (although exciting to see him get there), but the B1G is always fun to watch because it is basically a preview of the national finals or AA's at most weights. So I'll be looking forward to the finals and placing rounds regardless.

Welp, some good and some not so good this weekend. I was excited to see Cannon wrestle prior to the tournament and he delivered. I was really impressed with his ability to adapt to his opponent but maintain his aggressiveness. He has a nasty ride. Tough match against Kasak. He got caught, but that’s okay. Side note on this match, I felt Kasak could have pinned him if he wanted to, but let up knowing the win was locked up.

Let’s hope Bouzakis can build on his 3rd place finish. What an impressive run. He was a new person on day 2! Sasso at times had some perplexing matches and it seemed like the cut had something to do with it. Maybe that’s the case here? Don’t know, but great job nonetheless.

Some of wrestlers are what they are. I’m confident Mendez and Kharchla get back on track too. Maybe the time off was a detriment to some who hadn’t gotten a lot of matches in.

Crazy things have happened at the NCAAs. Some kids just explode out of nowhere much like that kid from WV who Tomasello wrestled in the final or the Ohio kid from NC State. Others get caught and they’re done.

Maybe Ryan can sprinkle in some adderall into the team’s cheerios too. :sneaky:

I think that's how it plays out. Get them all in and hope for the best at the right time then.
