Game Thread Ohio State at Oklahoma, 09/17/16 @ 9:00pm ET, FOX

Came through against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Hoping the staff treats this as they would playing Alabama. Can't come into the game over confident.
I think the Tulsa game was a good wake up call. IMO the game plays out like the Michigan game: Close for a half but the Buckeyes come out in the second and completely blow the doors off of the Sooners. The way Houston absolutely dominated Oklahoma in the trenches is just too much for me to ignore personally.

Just realized it's osu 3 and Oklahoma at 14. .

Same as it was when Houston beat Oklahoma 2 weeks ago Haha dammit I hate things like this getting in my head
Stoops ain't Urban Meyer.

If Ohio State goes into the 3rd with a multiple TD lead, I would like to see the offense really start to work on cleaning up the run game a bit. They've shown glimpses of brilliance, where they open some nice running holes, and Weber/Samuel pick up 12-15 yards. Would like to see some more consistency in the read option game. Seems like Weber and JT haven't quite been on the same page on those plays.

I have a feeling the offense will be able to gash OU's defense through the air, which should open the run game nicely in the second half. I also think the defense will get some big turnovers to create a short field for the offense to work with. Should be an interesting game to see where the Buckeyes are at.

I can see a score line something along the lines of:
Ohio State 35
Oklahoma 17

I'm a bit more confident about OU's chances of winning this game than I was about the Houston game. But not overly confident, if you know what I'm saying.

I'd say this game is about 50/50. My gut instinct tells me OU wins this game by a field goal in overtime, even though Ohio State wins the turnover battle and outgains us on the ground. But Baker's play in the second half is a big boost as OU wins this one.

Goodluck Buckeyes! And may the better team win.

who all is heading to the game? I'll be there starting tomorrow - can't wait. Have hotels, no tickets yet, but prices have come down almost $200 from the high a few months back. Shouldn't be an issue.

RCSooner1974 - I sent this to you via PM but you may not have seen it:

Hey - me and a buddy are heading down on Thursday for the game. Can't wait to experience a good away atmosphere. We are staying in Bricktown on thur and fri and staying in Norman on Saturday. Hopefully that was a good call - I think so but we do love partying with the college kids and experiencing college bar scene!

Anyway - was curious about this whole stripe the stadium thing? Why is a large section all crimson? everywhere else its stripped but there is one area where about 6 sections are all crimson. Also, what is the ticket scalping situation like on gameday. We don't have tickets but hope to buy some day of game.

Any input is much apprecicated!

I'm a lot more confident about this game having seen the way Hooker and the rest of the new guys in the secondary have stepped up and flat out balled. If they can maintain that degree of intensity and execution against OU, I'm pretty confident in a win. If the steeper competition and hostile environment get to them, it could turn bad.

Just hoping that, this close to Texas, Craig James doesn't get confused and tries to kill Malik. CJK5JH is not a terribly bright man.
