First trash talk of the week goes to Oklahomas backup QB, Austin Kendall.

https://www.landof10.com/ohio-state/watch-oklahomas-backup-quarterback-calls-ohio-state-basic

Great Audible podcast with Feldman and Mandel yesterday. Guest was Dave Wannstedt, who has stories for days ... Wanny talks about his relationships with Urban, Schiano, Switzer, and more.

Mentions specifically the OSU defense looked very vanilla with little pressure against BGSU and Tulsa, which is unusual for a Greg Schiano defense.

True but that only works when your corners are getting burnt deep and with our Corners I don't see that happening.

To the OU fan why do you feel more confident for this then the Houston game? Seems backwards.

Because Ohio State's quarterback isn't as strong of a passer as Greg Ward is. No disrespect intended.

Mike Stoops was able to contain Greg Ward from scrambling around. I would bet he'll do the same with Barrett, but we'll see if the latter can pick apart the OU defense with a bunch of new wide receivers.

If we score 33 points on you like Houston did, you're toast...

Because defense is optional and not a driving force behind success in the B12. Even TCU lost their defensive mojo as they rose to power.

Because it is an easier coping mechanism than recognizing before the season (and now) that both games don't look good for Oklahoma on paper.

Because Houston has a more proven offense while OSU can be downgraded as potentially great but young.

I think there are a lot of people, including non Ohio State fans, who would strongly disagree with that statement.
