OHIO STATE 49, WISCONSIN 48 (Final)

before anyone continues complaining about the officiating for the wisky game, i recommend that you watch conley's last shot. there were bad calls and bad no calls throughout the game for both teams. i know that if i were a badger, i'd be upset about conley's last shot. do i feel that we stole one? heck, no. as i stated before, there were bad calls and bad no calls throughout the game. the officiating was fairly even.

i don't want to sound like i'm bagging on the kids. i don't mean to come off harsh. what they have done this year is nothing short of incredible. i love these guys. i just want to see them put 40 good minutes together ONE TIME before it's over.

they have the talent to be absolutely dominant. they don't have the mental strength yet.

whens the last time you saw a team put 40 mins together in conference play?

basketball is a game of runs...

Kansas is a good team, no doubt, but they've found ways to lose games that they shouldn't have. Most teams have done that at one point or another this season, but Kansas has done it two times (DePaul and Texas Tech).

They'll probably be either the 4th #1 seed or the top #2 seed in the tournament.

That said, they aren't a clear cut favorite. No one truly is this year. Everything is even. That was my point.

Picking one team out of the pack of 8-10 right now is stupid.

all valid. but we all know that being the best/most consistent team through out the regular season doesn't mean jack during March Madness. it's about a team with a load of talent getting hot at the right time.

As I said before, it was awful throughout the entire game. These officials should not have called the biggest game of the year in the conference.

I agree. There is difference between letting them play, and making a point not to call fouls. I'm not going to start about the travel calls because I haven't seen them again. But, the officiating was terrible period.

Let's be fair. The Fab 5 had to go up against Ohio State (Jimmy Jackson) and Indiana (Calbert Cheaney).

This year's Big Ten has been Alando Tucker and the pu pu platter.

I get what you're saying. But I think you're selling MSU a little short.

Regardless, the record book will show the Thad 5 at least did what was expected of them in the conference. The Fab 5 did not.

I'll complain about the officiating, because it was horrible for both sides.

This is the Big Ten. One of, if not THE most prestiguous conferences in the country.

But they can't seem to be competent or even consistent officiating. I realize they can't call everything that happens, but there were some absolutely horrible non-calls and then ticky tack calls going the other way.

Case in point, Wisconsin gets a rebound in the first half off of an Ohio State miss. Greg Oden was all over the guy, but there was no call. Later on, Ivan Harris gets a bit tangled up with a guy and gets a foul and there wasn't really any attempt to impede the player. Now Oden nearly bear hugs a guy, but Harris has an incidental contact, but gets a foul.

That's my problem. The officiating has been horrible all year long and NOT just for/against the Buckeyes.

I mean, did anyone see the way MSU was boxing out Wisconsin in the game on Tuesday? I seriously thought it was a run-blocking drill for football. that's just one example.

Yep....

Do you think Ohio State is "hot" at this point and time?

I don't.

I don't think Florida is either, FWIW or Texas A&M.....

We will see who is hot come conference tournament time. Also, it is not all about being hot right now. I think it is best to get a few solid wins early on in the tournament, build confidence, then peak at the right time.
