OHIO STATE 49, WISCONSIN 48 (Final)

I know I've said this before, but I LOVE watching Conley play. He's so fast, so smooth on the court.

As for Oden, something tells me that he needs to play with more emotion, but I feel like if he did play with more emotion he would foul out every game. The refs certainly let him get abused.

I agree completely. It's almost like the refs allow the oppsition to bang on Greg to "even the playing field" so to say. Remember what used to happen to Shaq at LSU? Dale Brown got so fed up with it that he pretty much instructed Shaq to turn pro because he was getting hosed so bad in college.

As for Conley, he should be the MVP of the Big Ten. He certainly meets the criteria of the "best player on the best team."

CNNSI is wrong, as usual (recap):
Ohio State captured back-to-back outright titles for the first time since running off three in a row between 1960-62.
It's not outright yet. If we should lose at Michigan and Wisconsin beat Michigan State, it will be a co-championship, not outright (both OSU and UW would have 14-2 conference records and have split their games against each other). You know Wisconsin wants payback for losing to them on Tuesday and you know nothign would make Michigan's season sweeter than to upset us on their court in the conference finale...

Right but I would say Michigan State has a better chance to beat Wisky than scUM has to beat tOSU. IMO Michigan State could easily be a sweet sixteen team while michigan is still on the outside of the fence trying to look in, and Michigan State has better play overall IMO

In my eyes (which doesn't mean much) Wisky should still be considered for a #1 seed in the NCAA tourny, especially after the choke jobs Florida has done as of late.

Lunardi or whatever his name is on ESPN shares your opinion. As do I. He said that playing a 1v2 and to have it come down to 1 point doesn't really prove anything. He also went on to say that Florida knocked themselves out of a 1 seed (for now)

Right now, UF is on the outside looking in for a #1, but that could totally change depending on the final week and conference tournaments. Even with the recent hiccups it will be easier for UF to regain respect than any other team given that they are the defending champs.

The officials were awful throughout the whole game. And it wasn't just about Oden or against Ohio State. They were basically just flipping coins out there to determine what they're call would be.

The game was 49-48 for a reason. And it's because of how much both teams were getting away with. There's "letting them play" and then there's "letting them hack". Big Difference and I believe we saw the latter today.

If that had been an ACC game, the walk ons would have been forced to play because everyone else would have fouled out.

Somewhere in between would have been nice.

Badger fans complaining about Oden walking and no calls!
Maybe it looked like he was walking because he was getting mugged! :pissed:

Both times Oden was called for travelling, the Badger players either had both arms holding him in a bear hug OR a handful of jersey, both situations which contributed to the travelling.

watching the game on tape, i picked up on packer's prophetic statement at the end of the first half. with about twelve seconds to go, conley dished the ball to the right wing. the entrance pass to oden was tipped out. directly after conley's pass to the wing, packer said, "oh, i'm surprised he gave that ball up."

before the inbounds pass, packer continued, "with experience, conley will realize: don't give that ball up. he is so good at penetrating and making the dish at the end or going all the way. that's why you wouldn't want the ball in anyone else's hands."
