Maybe. But if OSU can get Harris or Akers, it won't matter that much. Especially if OSU continues to win at the rate they currently are. Everyone knew that 2017 was going to be an interesting class as they are so few open scholarships. I'm sure that recruits, parents and coaches all knew this if fans on message boards did. Like has been said a bunch of times, any other year a number of in state kids would be offered and/or pursued stronger. 2017 the staff will be extremely picky, especially since so many high ranked kids have OSU very high on their lists. If Sibley can't be in this OSU class but can still get a full ride to pursue his gridiron dream somewhere else, more power to him. And if OSU can get either Akers or Harris its a win win for both parties. Like Meyer told Clark, "its a business"Wow. I trust that the staff knows what they're doing, but this feels like a dangerous road to travel down with an in-state kid.
