This may be the wrong thread for this post but I have to ask another Wolverine for his opinion. During the MSU/ND game one of the two scUM fans in my circle was over watching some of the game with us. He stated that he roots for ND once a year - when they play Sparty. Now, he's a Michigan native that moved here (Columbus) as an adult and has told me that MSU was always more hated by him than tOSU, and that was a more passionate rivalry for him. tOSU has become a more hated rival since living in the belly of the beast and working with Buckeye fans, but Sparty takes the cake. But the twist here is Dantonio (or as he calls him, Dumbtonio). He hates him, thus hates MSU more than ever. What's behind this? It looks like you pull for MSU/Big Ten over ND.

Being a Buckeye fan (and the fact that he was with Tressel at YSU) I, like other Buckeye fans, still consider Dantonio one of our own, so I always pull for MSU except for at the obvious time. And after the meteor strike I pull for scUM/Big Ten over ND. Thoughts?

I am enjoying the whole RichRod saga at scUM, but if I had to choose I'd rather see scUM hire a competent coach over ND ever being relevant again.

i'm not from michigan, so i don't despise msu like most fans because i've never had to deal with them. i've known way more jackass notre dame fans in my life

I root for the weasels in ALL ooc games. I root for Big 10 teams in all ooc games. Years ago when a sweet 16 berth rested on the results of a game between UM and Xavier a Xavier grad I worked with came up to me saying, "Well, I bet you'll be pulling for Xavier tonight."

"No way," I told him. He couldn't believe it and I don't think he's ever fully forgiven or understood why.

I like to see the home team lose. I sleep much better at night knowing a significant number of fans spent a bit of money to go to the game, only to leave in tears.
