The funniest part is that, at this point, this picture is actually appropriate in the "football only discussion" Notre Dame thread.

Have you really seen it is a liability the last three years?

Yep. Look at the polls. Look at the dive OSU's fortunes took after Wisconsin. That's all based on perceived SOS. Now the only game left that gives the Bucks a boost is Iowa. It will be a factor in bowl committee decision making and if we lose to Iowa we may be looking at the Mieneke Car Care Bowl along with Notre Dame.

Notre Dame Students Plan To Rush The Field For Historic Loss

The Fighting Irish are perched on the brink of an unprecedented accomplishment: the losingest class in school history. Clearly this must be celebrated.

The Irish have 25 losses over the past 3? seasons, and one more will give the school its all-time record for losses in a four-year period. November 13th, against now-No. 8 Utah, just happens to be senior day. So what better way to go out for the historically unfulfilled class of 2010 than to storm the field?

Being a little over-the-top here...11-1 tOSU gets into the bcs and bowl tie ins would mean Gator or Outback if they lose again...both decent bowls. tOSU needs to take care of business, what scUM or state penn do from here on out means less than most think.

ones that like revenue. Most bowls lose money. What bowl would ever turn down Notre Dame?

Ones that could get an 9-3 Iowa or a 9-3 USC, or even a (heaven forbid) 7-5 Michigan. Notre Dame travels well when they're 10-2, but they don't travel for shit when they're 7-5 since they're not in a bowl to which 90% of Notre Dame fans think they're entitled just because they're Notre Dame.

If they're eligible the bcs sends an invite. They don't have to sell the second quarter of those laughers, they just want all of the tickets purchased .

those first two teams are not relevant to the bowls who would be looking at ND. Iowa is headed for orlando, and a 3 loss sc squad would also be in a different realm from nd.

Michigan is a very rare abomination that would be pumped for a terrible bowl game, unlike most years. If they weren't tied to an automatic bowl selection, which is likely with that record, they could always play nd in the bowl. It would be more interesting than a soeful bcs team or average mid major.

The bowls that pick 6-6 squads generally get garbage. A disinterested nd fanbase will still fill more seats than the typical participants of the papa johns bowl.
