Aren't we talking about more power though with the new systems (spec wise)? So wouldn't that create more heat or potential issues?

there won't be heat problems, they have built in some massive fans to help prevent it

edit: I guess I should say there shouldn't be heat problems

Rumor from Reddit

We've been told pre-orders for both systems will be shutting down (probably permanently) at the close of business on Friday 6/21 in the US. Web pre-orders may stay online for slightly longer. Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up. :)

guys name is GameStoppopotamus

note: this is just for gamestop only..

So is it guaranteed that Forza 5 is an Xbone only title? Not making it for 360?
Gamespot reporting for only XboxOne, and they are usually deadly accurate on these things.

Besides... how the hell else do you think they are going to sell the XOne to customers?

Gotcha.

I know with my PS3 (an earlier one) I haven't had overheating problems, but the fan kicks into high gear and it's noisy and I worry about the fan giving out. I know I wouldn't want that box on all the time, but I guess (hope) a newer box would manage that kind of thing better.

The early 360 models were definitely more noisy. When the system is running but not spinning a disc it is unnoticeable unless you make an effort to stop and listen

The kinect is a great innovation. It is perfect for parties, kids or uncommonly active gamers. The problem is that most gamers are pretty lazy and want to relax. The titles have also been decent but not great, hopefully that changes with all consoles now having the kinect hardware

I do wonder how many hours there will be between the launch and when gamers start figuring out to shout kinect commands over voice chat in games. Surely Robert and Mr. Stamm would be too mature for such antics.

There are a few rumors/articles being released that point to MS carefully thinking about reworking the clock speed of their processor and bumping up the RAM. Most are saying the clock speed bump is a very possible move on their part and saying the RAM is possible but harder to believe due to cost and price point. The rumor is a jump from the current 8 to 12. Not the type of RAM though.
You be the judge.

Can't remember if we talked about it earlier in this thread, but curious to see what happens with 360 online/live play. How long is it going to stick around for? Will it continue to preform as it does now? Updates?
